...and as our designated coal mine canary, it's up to me to notice these things, despite others not necessarily seeing any immediate danger.

What I'm referring to are almost entirely humourless circlejerks near (or often at) the top of the comment section of any remotely political post. I've noticed that quite a few people have just entirely stopped following Klenny's famous guide, despite being quite well integrated before! Currently, some of our comment sections on random posts having practically no relationship to things being circlejerked over, will often degenerate into weird .win-tier seetheposting. Some of that is driven by pinkies, sure, but most of it is from well-established users. Maybe it's the fault of leaderboards which encourage circlejerking, maybe of mop laziness, maybe it's just the general political situation. Perhaps it's carp. Well, it's definitely carp, actually. But some of you are at fault too. You know who you are!

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that I've gotten a go-ahead to be exceptionally mean and do whatever I needed to do. Well, I couldn't come up with anything actually good and new so I figured that I'll just be lazy and resort to random violence since it definitely isn't getting better on its own. Posts themselves are mostly okay but a lot of our comments sections have become absolute dopplegangers of cp.win

Being a benevolent chekist that I am , I figured that I'd let you guys actually know what's going on before implementing it, so here we go:

IMPORTANT INFO BELOW:

1. If you want to start a circlejerk about BIPOCs or s, make sure it is at least applicable to the post.

2. In addition to that, make sure it's at least somewhat entertaining to the general audience. Try to make a joke.

3. If you can't connect it to the post, at least make sure it's really funny. Just saying Saying 13/52 on a post about, idk, airplane security - does not qualify as really funny. It can be funny, there are some cases where it's really funny, but just reciting shit you've read on /pol/ is not funny on its own. Sorry.

4. If you can't do that, rule one is pretty clear and I'll start fairly randomly (upon seeing stuff that I find boring) handing out mop-s. Across the board - up and down the circlejerks. If you disagree - see rule 8.

5. What this is meant to do is discourage people from participating in unfunny circlejerks and prevent them from crowding out actual, worthwhile commentary. So if you get chudded for a seemingly innocuous message - sorry. Collective responsibility. Avoid drug corners if you don't want to get shot in a drive-by.

6. I'm fundamentally lazy and our mop staff (including me in most cases) usually doesn't like to overuse mop tools. So don't cry about someone else doing worse in some thread two weeks ago. I don't really care, I probably didn't see it.

7. If you see a bunch of agendaposters circlejerking about how they wish AIDS would have killed all strags or how gun crime can be solved by genociding entire demographics - feel free to ping me.
