I know it's pathetic but I did have a soft spot in my heart for TIA. It was the sub that first got me to reddit, back when reddit looked like a shitty craigslist. I stopped really checking it by 2016 when it was starting to focus less on otherkin and other wacky shit. And near the end it was just non stop train posting. But I'll still pour one out for a real one, an example of what reddit used to be like back in the free speech days.

And what's ironic is, banning these subs just changes which subreddit is most ideologically opposed. TiA wasn't overly-concerned with trains until they banned gendercritical, and then suddenly it became Grand Central Station. This cycle will continue until Reddit finally figures out/admits that they really want to ban the people, not just the subreddits.

Yup it was as close to direct cause-and-effect as you can get just from observing online communities. GC gets banned 2020, within a month suddenly every other TiA user is either gay or lesbian or a feminist, and the sub becomes entirely focused on dropping the T.
