I'm upset that Zizek is a reactionary clown who earnestly believes the US further cementing their hegemony and expanding their imperial reach is somehow conductive to leftist and progressive politics. He frames this conflict as Ukraine fighting for "Global Freedom" when that couldn't possibly be further from the truth. They're fighting a war on the behalf of American interests with the promise of being integrated in the Western economic bloc. This has nothing to do with social values, democracy or freedom. It's a borgeouis war fought at the expense of the masses.
I'm a leftist, I'm not interested in keeping Capitalism and Liberalism alive. Therefore any hindrance or loss to American hegemony is a net positive to the world and presents further opportunities for leftists groups and movements to flourish.
American unipolarity is over, for better or worse only time will tell. But the US only has themselves to blame. They squandered their reign, spat on the rules and laws they imposed on others while demanding the utmost obedience and directly facilitated the meteoric rise of their rival, China, by moving all their production to the latter because the Capitalist class would rather sell their own country from under their feet than pay the proles their fair share. This isn't even to mention how disastrous American foreign policy has been for the past 60 years, not only for the world but for for Americans themselves.
