Took my flag down in 2016. It has been replaced by a rainbow peace flag.

Feel free to give ur land back to its people too

Edit:I guess only some rights are sacred

Cringe

Nah, it'll more likely be because of betas like you.

“betas” - don’t project so hard, you’ll hurt yourself

:marseynoyou:

Voting won't change anything. General strikes , bricks and fires will. You don't free yourselves from a theocracy regime by following the rules they set .

calls for violence... cool

If the second is supposed to protect the people from a government becoming tyrannical, we’re pretty much there.

:marseyglow:

So brave.

This is like the 500th “so brave” comment.

This is the Bad Place because I’m forced to spend my time here with you and people like you.

You’re a bad person. Rights are being stripped away and you. Don’t. Care.

Do us all a favor and move to Saudi Arabia.

Edit: NSFL this is what happens when you prevent access to safe abortion.

Blood is on your hands.

don't like a reddit karma whore post? :marseywave2::marseytruck:➡️:marseyflagsaudiarabia:

I really hate it when people fly the flag upside down for political reasons. It doesn't even matter whether I agree with them or not. That's supposed to be a signal that you're in immediate danger and need help, not a political statement.

I actually googled the rules for flying the flag upside down during the Trump years because frick. Found out that you are not suppose to do this for a political statement. But I totally get the sentiment.

orange man made me google what an upside down flag stands for

Lmao so it’s legal to burn the US flag as free speech, but ya’ll got a problem turning it upside down? Makes so much sense lol

:marseyconfused:

Took down my American flag and put up my Canadian flag. They may not be perfect but at least they understand a woman’s right to her body eh?

:!marseysoypoint::marseycanada:

just take it down. frick this symbolic bullshit. go out and protest, actually take action, organize. upvotes on reddit aren’t going to get us there or change anyones mind on this decision.

It has to start somewhere

the revolution starts with a reddit post of a flag

not quoting this one because too long, dude's seething and calling for the revolution to begin - https://old.reddit.com/r/pics/comments/vjvveq/oc_my_response_to_scotuss_decision_to_overturn/idlt6rx/?sort=controversial

This will make them overturn it immediately, thank you for your service.

Ok, so I should just be quiet and let the world walk over me? Gotcha.

I obviously don't think my one action will change everything on its own.

You can do whatever you like, no need to ask me.

:marseygigachad:

How much violence needs to be committed before violence should be advocated for? Peaceful protests have never worked and never will work.

> Peaceful protests have never worked and never will work.

TIL The Civil Rights marches did nothing.

Sound like an insurrectionist

Revolt. Revolutionize. It's over. Done. This union needs be disolved.

where were you when Reddit ended the United States

/r/redditmoment

You don't know what that subreddit is, do you?

The SCOTUS stopped being the will of the people. Republicans can't win elections so now they are bypassing democracy.

the (((republicans))) are taking over

Man that sounds an awful lot like you're calling for an insurrection.

At least they would have a leg to stand on.

Who wants to tell him that SC justices aren’t elected, don’t legislate, and that their only job is to interpret the Constitution and nothing about their position is meant to reflect the will of the people

They arguably gave the decision on abortions back to the will of the people. Now the people can elect politicians in their state to legislate on abortion.

It’s not arguable lol that’s the entirety of what the decision was. “The Constitution doesn’t offer a stance on abortion, but it does say that all things it doesn’t offer a stance on are up to the states, so this is up to the states to decide.”

Big Joe isn't letting that happen.

Also some republican senators support abortion rights but because democrats insist on extending Roe v Wade protections and are unwilling to compromise, it'll never pass before midterms (so they can make this a wedge issue).

Ah super duper makes sense I suppose

IIRC Manchad said he would vote to extend Roe v Wade but the democrats tried pushing through a bill that goes beyond the status quo created by Roe v Wade and Manchad doesn't agree with terminating viable foetuses.

Lmao I saw the statement Manchin put out and holy frick is it cucked. He throws in a line about being raised ‘pro-life’ but he’s basically saying he would support passing a bill that codifies Roe v Wade.

This is why I never believed Manchin was a centrist. He’s much more liberal than a politician from WV should be and goes with the Dems on every important issue. I would normally expect him to have better rhetoric than this, but maybe liberal activists are onto him and forcing him to toe the party line.

I described federalism once to a hyperlib I worked with. She thought it was a great idea but thought we could never get that to pass.

It doesn't even make sense anyway, the whole point of this decision was that states can decide for themselves. Dissolving the union would've gotten them the same exact result: Mississippi goes back to the 15th century where they feel more comfortable, New York stays as it was.

The funny thing, though, is that they have point: the US is way too federalized for its own good. The sociological gap between the urban coasts and rural flyover country is way, way too vast to reconcile - one wants no guns and free abortions, the other wants a theocracy and slavery. Ironically, this was already the case when the country was founded, and if slavery hadn't become the issue that it did the US could still be the fairly loose association of states it was meant to be, and everything would be just fine. Unfortunately, progressives have a pathological need to drag morons into the future against their will, and they are eternally surprised that said morons outnumber and then outvote them, dragging them backwards instead. They never learn to leave well enough alone, so now they're ironically wanting to do the same thing the South wanted to, and won't be able to, literally because the then-progressives couldn't let the South get away with being morons.

If you ever need proof that Reddit completely fudges scores for the sake of politics, there it is.

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

Isn't this proof they aren't fudged with lmao it's not sitting at 99% as leddit would have you think everyone is an abortion loving leftoid

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

The vote totals are fudged, the percentages aren't. Reddit has this 'crowd control' thing that collapses comments from people that use 'undesirable' communities (i.e. rightoid). There's a feeling that this also discards their votes from the scores. Hence you end up with supposedly controversial posts with stupidly high total scores.

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

So if I got it right, 50% upvoted would put it at 0 points right? So if 10% net positive votes are at 64k would that mean that the total votes and downvotes are at 640k? Or am I completely not understanding how leddits voting works

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

Exactly lol that Reddit post didn’t get a total of 640k votes. They are fudging the overall score to make it appear it’s popular

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

It's worse than that. Reddit scales total score so that more votes are needed for each score point the higher the total score gets. The numbers aren't disclosed publicly, but 60k @ 90% up is probably about 500k true upvotes.

With that considered, 60k @ 60% is absurd, especially when it's a shitty post to begin with. They're disregarding a lot of the downvotes.

So does this mean that in states where abortion is illegal, mothers can claim their fertilized eggs as children and thus receive tax credits for 9 extra months? I wonder how those states will pay for that? 🤔

Redditors really are the dumbest creatures, incapable of nuance.

If tomorrow all my things were gone

I'd work for all my life.

And I had had to start again,

With just my children and my wife.

And I'd think my lucky stars to be livin' here today,

Cause the flag still stand for freedom and they can't take that away

And I'm proud to be an American

Where at least I know I'm free

And I won't forget the ones who died who gave that right to me

And I'll gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today

Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land, God Bless the USA.

From the lakes of Minnesota, to the hills of Tennessee,

Across the plains of Texas, from sea to shining sea.

From Detroit down to Houston and New York to LA,

Well there's pride in every American heart and it's time we stand and say

'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land

God bless the USA!
