Had a translator when I went for a conference in Tokyo that was very blunt. Was told to just learn gestures and not worry about learning any Japanese because nobody cared and it’d likely be negative

You will never escape the weeb menace. They are a shadow looming over every action you take and their very existance keeps you on the edge of your seat in every conversation as people assume you are one of them too. It is the stereoype projected on you before you open your mouth for the first time.

The use is completely limited if you aren't planning on spending your whole life here and my only drive to practice because it's genuinely fun to feel my self being able to do things easier every day and the sense of improvement makes me feel like my life has progression since it makes up such a big part of my day to day experience.

I genuinely don't know how anyone outside the country who isn't a weeb does it.

Good country though, I'm sure there's plenty of other places that would give me the same feeling but I've completely mellowed out the last four years being away from being constantly surrounded by western bullshit. This site is my only connection to most of it
