At the risk of airing my autismo-parinoia, Mullvad and ProtonVPN seem to be two of the best privacy oriented ones. I use Mullvad and it was pretty easy to setup and use.

I use adguard vpn. It was like 35 a year but there was a sale dont know if it's still that.

I like that you can also use it on your phone. I dont know if that's standard but it's neat imo.

Only downside to using it on my phone is that I cant access my ring camera system when it's on and it fricks with any app that requires a constant connection to my bank account (like Albert etc)
