My favorite thing about "everything is Trump's fault" is that it shows that that side has no intention on ever taking responsibility for anything. Even if it was actually Trump's fault somehow Biden and Pals are in charge now and promised to make everything better. What did they fail at? Interest rates had to be raised because of inflation from Trumps massive rich tax cuts and record spending. I was friends with this girl that had a little 1yo kid and I knew the father. The father was a party guy with serious narcissistic issues. I knew this girl before she even was with the guy and was surprised to find her all depressed with the 1yo kid. Despite me being afraid of becoming a dad, I played uncle for a while until me and the girl fell in love. Fast forward 2 years later, we got married and got another kid.

Now it's been 3 years since we got married and we're still fighting for the rights of our older daughter (whom I'd never even want to call my stepdaughter and she thinks I'm her real father) and the biological father who hasn't seen her since 2021, nor paid any alimony will most probably deny anything.

Now that our daughter has gotten older, she started to speak out for herself and told us that there was a man that used to pick her up when she was little and take her to his home just to leave her with some random woman (her grandma). When he'd come back he would hit her and not give her food.

We're doing anything so he gets what he deserves and I get the right to adopt my daughter.

You're being down voted but as a stepdad to a girl with a hella toxic mother (I'm still dad to her, I'm not going to be the second one to abandon her), this is absolutely something to consider. My SD is not legally mine. I support her in every way that a father would, right down to daddy-daughter day, including her when her sister (biologically mine) stays with me on my parenting time.

I do absolutely everything for her EXCEPT legally adopt her. And it's 100% because I don't trust her mom to not find a way to double up the support I'm already giving.

British Columbia serial killer Robert Pickton has died of injuries sustained in an attack, according Correctional Service Canada (CSC).

The 74-year-old was in hospital after being the target of what CSC called a "major assault" by a fellow inmate on May 19 at the maximum-security Port-Cartier Institution, about 480 kilometres northeast of Quebec City.

He was in a medically induced coma and on life support in the days before he died.

Pickton was convicted of six counts of second-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison in 2007, with the maximum parole ineligibility period of 25 years, after being charged with murdering 26 women in B.C.

Pickton became eligible for day parole in February, which sparked outrage from advocates, politicians and victims' family members who criticized Canada's justice system, saying he should never be released from prison.
