The Good Place made a joke by mentioning Pewdiepie as a bad person on the show. The fans argue if Pewdipie is a literal nazi or just an edgelord

Is that show any good? From what I've seen it reminds me of B99 where it's enjoyable enough but anytime it tries to tackle an issue it does it with the subtlety of a u/MasterLawlz stickypost

Implying my stickies aren’t intricate spiderwebs of nuance

Sorry for discounting your allegorical genius bbg

It’s one of my favorite shows. Being as autistic as I am, I’ve seen it like 8 times already.

B99 is not even in the same lane. B99 is more of a feel good predictable comedy that doesn’t require much your brain power. Not saying that’s a bad thing because I also like B99. It’s just a very different kind of comedy.

I know what you’re talking about. When I first saw trailers of the Good Place, I also thought it’s gonna be a lame ass feel good average sitcom about people who died and went to heaven but I was very wrong.

There’s no show like the Good Place at all. It’s incredibly unique and groundbreaking. Since it’s so amazing. I don’t want to spoil anything for you. I would say give the pilot episode a try because most people just binge the entire season after seeing the pilot. The show does get exponentially crazier as it progresses. It’s very unpredictable.

Imagine watching tv like a boomer.

It is good. You do get some of what you're talking about, where certain stuff is oversimplified for the sake of a joke, but the 'main' issue that the whole plot is centered around is handled quite intelligently.

It oddly doesn't get preachy at all.

Imagine thinking the vultural context of the N-word in the US in any way applies to Sweden. Saying the N-word in Scandinavia literally only became a somewhat bad thing less than a decade ago. It’s regularly said on the state funded tevelision channel, for fucks sake.
