So I've been watching community. Did the people involved with this show never actually attend a community college?

I've dropped out of both a major university and a community college so I think I know what I'm talking about. All the concerts and fairs and special events and classes with actual lab equipment? All at the university. Not to mention the fact that the show features dorms. When I was in community college you went to class and went the fuck home unless you were flirting with some chick in the parking lot because there was nothing else there to do

nah, community colleges have started to get some of the way too much money that universities got their grubby hands on. they'll build extensions, dorms (means foreign students, especially if you offer something similar to a GED program), what have you. they're quickly becoming just 2 year universities with some community learning programs on the side.
