Yes this did happen. When Portugal arrived, the men who went to colonize and work in the trade industry began to marry indian women. Portuguese people didnt have the same racial issues as other nations, and didnt have a problem marrying indian women. Since the Portuguese were foreigners, and trade was considered a more sinful trade, only women from lower castes married them.
I am not sure which is more cringey, the litany of erroneous assumptions you splayed out or the act of calling upon the student archetype with the intent of derision. Anti-intellectualism, check.
