The "study" or whatever the fuck it is has a point though. Can you imagine having your nuts itch but not being able to scratch them because you're a tree?
This actually goes way back. One prominent figure got a nonsense paper published and followed it up with a book highlighting some of the worst offenders. I've read it. Apparently a number of people gained tremendous amounts of prestige in the social sciences by writing intellectual-sounding gibberish. And I don't mean "I disagree with it, so I'm gonna denigrate it using hyperbole." I mean "I'll just add the word 'quantum' to the front of this phrase and that'll make it sound deep" level of bullshit.
I'm clearly not intelligent enough to understand this debacle, but I'll nod my head and hopefully get my upcoming thesis on the nature of quantum beehives published.
