I am a bot. (Info / Contact)

The "study" or whatever the fuck it is has a point though. Can you imagine having your nuts itch but not being able to scratch them because you're a tree?

I Have No Weiner, and I Must Ejaculate

I don't think we should give plants any rights because I'm smoking weed inside a house built and furnished with wood.

Anthropology departments worldwide are in need of a purge.

RealPeerReview has some amazing links tho

Holy shit, I had no idea this has been going on.

This actually goes way back. One prominent figure got a nonsense paper published and followed it up with a book highlighting some of the worst offenders. I've read it. Apparently a number of people gained tremendous amounts of prestige in the social sciences by writing intellectual-sounding gibberish. And I don't mean "I disagree with it, so I'm gonna denigrate it using hyperbole." I mean "I'll just add the word 'quantum' to the front of this phrase and that'll make it sound deep" level of bullshit.

Did you actually just find out about the Sokal affair?

No. But, I assumed a lot of people wouldn't know.

I'm clearly not intelligent enough to understand this debacle, but I'll nod my head and hopefully get my upcoming thesis on the nature of quantum beehives published.

Just say something about schroedinger's cat and reddit will think you're a fucking genius for some reason

Bogdanov Twins

never heard of them. quick rundown?

So Here's The Rundown

  • In contact with aliens

  • Rumoured to possess psychic abilities

  • Said to be violent and intimidating in private

  • Own castles and banks all over the world

  • Rothschilds bow to the Bogdanoffs

  • Own several nuclear plants

  • Learned fluent French in less than 48 hours

  • Ancient Indian scriptures tell of two angels who will descend upon the Earth and will bring an era of enlightenment and unprecedented technological progress with them

  • Own basically every DNA & genetic research facility on Earth

  • First designer babies will be Bogdanoff babies

  • Rule France with an iron but fair fist

  • Scientists pointed a telescopic array at the source of the 'bog bang' that created our universe

  • This is what they heard: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46kAzBMJpEk

  • Kept the electric car down for decades so they could release their own car based on string theory to the market

  • Currently at war with Elon Musk because of this

  • Sabotaged his spacex rocket because they will fund the first (the first official one - they've already been to mars many times) manned flight to mars in their own initiative in a few years

  • Will bankroll the first cities on Mars (Bogdangrad will be be the first city)

  • The big red phone in the Kremlin is a direct line to the Bogdanoff manor

  • The last person who missed a call was Mikhail Gorbachov. He resigned and fled the country in fear and the Bogdanoffs destroyed the Soviet Union in a fit of rage

  • Own nanobot facilities everywhere in the galaxy

  • Own Nanobot R&D labs around the world

  • If you're reading this right now, you most likely have BogdabotsTM flowing through your body

  • Both brothers said to have 215+ IQ, such intelligence on Earth has only existed deep in Tibetan monasteries & Area 51

  • Nation states entrust their gold reserves with the twins. There's no gold in Ft. Knox, only Ft. Bogdanoff

  • The twins are about 7 decades old, from the space-time reference point of the base human currently accepted by our society

  • In reality, they are timeless beings existing in all points of time and space from the big bang to the end of the universe. We don't know their ultimate plans yet. We hope they're benevolent beings

I know the daughter of Igor, all of this is true.

I have been bogpilled thank

The plant feminist they're ridiculing seems obsessed with this guy Deleuze

In relation to the Sokal hoax...

Deleuze was one of the targets of the polemic in Sokal and Bricmont 1999. As much of their chapter on Deleuze consists of exasperated exclamations of incomprehension, it is hard to say what it is that Sokal and Bricmont think they have accomplished. One thing is clear though: Deleuze was perfectly aware of the finitist revolution in the history of the differential calculus, despite Sokal and Bricmont's intimations otherwise. He writes in Difference and Repetition, “it is a mistake to tie the value of the symbol dx to the existence of infinitesimals; but it is also a mistake to refuse it any ontological or gnoseological value in the name of a refusal of the latter. In fact, there is a treasure buried within the old so-called barbaric or pre-scientific interpretations of the differential calculus, which must be separated from its infinitesimal matrix. A great deal of heart and a great deal of truly philosophical naivety is needed in order to take the symbol dx seriously …”

Oh, yeah, Sokal and Bricmont = served, lol.

post-modernists

Should have known those fuckers were behind all this.

Anthropologist of space, science, and social movements.

What the fuck. As in some who wants to do science, but is too dumb to do it, and had to inject "social science" into it to make him seem smart? Also that paper with no citation. His committee should have grilled him hard, instead of having it published.

Disgraceful.
