Rivello was a student at Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury until December 2014 and did not graduate, according to the school. Salisbury’s Trinity United Methodist Church also listed a person with that name in a 2016 newsletter. Rivello is 29 and registered as a Republican, according to public records.
Compare with Chapo Trap House's definition of a "failson":
the guy that “goes downstairs at Thanksgiving, briefly mumbles, ‘Hi,’ everyone asks him how community college is going, he mumbles something about a 2.0 average, goes back upstairs with a loaf of bread and some peanut butter, and gets back to gaming and masturbating.”
In addition to the FBI, the Dallas Police, the Dallas County District Attorney, the US Attorney in Dallas and the Department of Homeland Security are involved in the case.
Are you sure that's enough manpower for an animated gif case?
"“What Mr. Rivello did with his Twitter message was no different from someone sending a bomb in the mail or sending an envelope filled with Anthrax spores,” Lieberman says."

Truly the Meme War, comparing this to the IRA isn't insane at all.
I don't get it. Why did the wife post that panicky tweet claiming he was having a seizure when he actually wasn't? Did he put on a show for her or something?
Isn't the sort of epilepsy that gets triggered by flashing lights actually pretty rare? I wonder if he actually had a seizure or if he's just being melodramatic. I'm sure it will come out eventually.

I'm personally shocked by this revelation. What's next? He likes tendies and finds sonic soothing?
On Friday, I almost assaulted a fan of my work. I was in the Philadelphia International Airport, and a man who recognized me from one of my appearances on a television news show approached. He thanked me for the investigative reporting I had done about Donald Trump before the election, expressed his outrage that the Republican nominee had won and then told me quite gruffly, “Get back to work.” Something about his arrogance struck me, so I asked, “Who did you vote for?”
He replied, “Well, Stein, but—” I interrupted him and said, “You’re lucky it’s illegal for me to punch you in the face.” Then, after telling him to have sex with himself—but with a much cruder term—I turned and walked away.
What really impressed me was when he spent hours on twitter one night accusing people of dunning-kruger because he didn't think tens of thousands of emails could fit on a laptop according to what "computer experts" told him. It turns out his computer expert was Mark Cuban and he deleted all the tweets. I wish I could find some record of this because it's actually really insane what a hugely pompous asshole he was about the whole thing.
It's such an overreaction to a fucking tweet.
I could see this being used as a precedent to future situations, where anyone is arrested by police, the FBI over "hate speech", "transphobia", "islamophobia", and making anyone 'uncomfortable'.
Criticizing the stupid things fat activists say may be considered a "hate crime" given how fucking stupid society is.
I can see George Carlin's routines being banned, Naked Lunch by William S. Burroughs being banned.
Freedom of speech is dead, especially since the government, corporations and private prisons will be thrilled to arrest anyone that is accused of "online crimes" like "hate speech" or trolling.
I mean there's a huge difference between deliberately trying to trigger a seizure and saying things that make someone feel bad. Even his lawyers argued that.
I don't know anything about the guy but watch this interview with Tucker Carlson. It's humiliating, Eichenwald completely refuses to answer Tucker's question and filibusters about stupid bullshit for 10 minutes while complaining that he's "not being allowed to answer the question".

Doesn't work for me either. Maybe your inferior browser isn't blocking ads.

It doesn't work for me because it automatically redirects to their European site and can't find the article there.

My twitter memes are worse than Anthrax - I mean Anthrax's seventh album, Stomp 442 was just awful.

Only 3 percent of people with epilepsy are photosensitive. Photosensitivety is more common is children and decreases in rate with adults
Tl;dr Eichenwald is probably full of shit. If it was anyone else I'd take their word for it but I really wouldn't put it past him to fake it.

Hospitalizing Eichenwald via meme is an easy acquittal, IMO. Any jury would agree that it is self-defense.

Not really, unless you think a prohibition against physical assault is also a "dangerous precedent."
