Gun charge at 18 - tried to kill myself, got caught with antique revolver, scumbag D.A. charged me for it against the advice of the arresting officers. Cops were super chill about it and a jurisdictional problem popped up that made them drop the case. Was literally bleeding to death, overdosing and trying to find someone she could leave her story with before dying. And trust me, I know from my own self what it looks like when someone thinks they're suicidal but deep down it's really a cry for help. That's not what was happening. She legit wanted to die, but I treated her really differently from how suicidal people are usually treated (i.e. I thought she was awesome and deserved to live instead of thinking she was some broken mess that needs to suck less so it can deserve life) and it made her reconsider her life. I got her to go to a hospital, press charges on her boyfriend for beating her, etc. then legit made her happy for a while. I kinda fucked it all up by being an unstable piece of shit myself and now she's hella depressed again but at least now she has a boyfriend she wants to live for instead of one she wants to punish by dying.

This is actually a really great question so I'll answer it.
One attempted to, but no, the girl that actually successfully got a restraining order against me is not one of them, as far as I know. I might have helped her through a few low points and suicide attempts but I wouldn't say I can take causal credit for saving her. Or put more simply, she probably would have lived with or without meeting me. I'm not positive but I think she would have.
Also, to further answer your question, there could not possibly be overlap between those two groups. If I personally save a girl from suicide, like actually have strong reason to believe she might have died if I hadn't been there, then it tends to create an emotional barrier against ever outright hating them like I hated this girl. I had an emotional barrier against hating her either, an immense one, and she managed to treat me horribly enough to push through it, but I think I learned my limits from the experience and I'm not wrong that the amount I care about the girls I've saved is definitely insurmountable, impermeable, and unconditional. I don't know if it's because I feel responsible for them or just because I'm extremely thankful they'd live for me or credit me with saving their lives. But it's a feeling that completely precludes me ever being horrible enough towards them to warrant a contact restraint. Besides, if I ever were so horrible towards them, I'd argue that invalidates all the promises I made to them in order to stop them from dying, and therefore in the long run I did not save them but in fact if they're still alive then something else must have saved them from my betrayal.
As for the girl who tried but failed to get a contact restraint against me, I've never threatened to harm her. I care about her so much that the "angriest" I can ever feel towards her is maybe enough to make me curse or yell a bit but also apologize sincerely for doing so if it hurt her feelings. I don't think the law tends to give contact restraints just because a completely non-threatening non-aggressive ex can't stop texting you once in a while because he's severely depressed about the fact that you hate him. Maybe I'm wrong on that, in which case it invalidates my above paragraph about my feelings for girls I save precluding me doing anything that warrants a contact restraint, because I might indeed be evil enough to text them once in a while begging them to talk to me, so if that's a contact-restraint-warranting action then I guess I was wrong. I'm confused as to why I never would have gotten a contact restraint over her though, if that were an offense that warrants it. I presume she and her parents would have pursued it aggressively.

Was literally bleeding to death, overdosing and trying to find someone she could leave her story with before dying. And trust me, I know from my own self what it looks like when someone thinks they're suicidal but deep down it's really a cry for help. That's not what was happening. She legit wanted to die, but I treated her really differently from how suicidal people are usually treated (i.e. I thought she was awesome and deserved to live instead of thinking she was some broken mess that needs to suck less so it can deserve life) and it made her reconsider her life. I got her to go to a hospital, press charges on her boyfriend for beating her, etc. then legit made her happy for a while. I kinda fucked it all up by being an unstable piece of shit myself and now she's hella depressed again but at least now she has a boyfriend she wants to live for instead of one she wants to punish by dying.

This is actually a really great question so I'll answer it.
One attempted to, but no, the girl that actually successfully got a restraining order against me is not one of them, as far as I know. I might have helped her through a few low points and suicide attempts but I wouldn't say I can take causal credit for saving her. Or put more simply, she probably would have lived with or without meeting me. I'm not positive but I think she would have.
Also, to further answer your question, there could not possibly be overlap between those two groups. If I personally save a girl from suicide, like actually have strong reason to believe she might have died if I hadn't been there, then it tends to create an emotional barrier against ever outright hating them like I hated this girl. I had an emotional barrier against hating her either, an immense one, and she managed to treat me horribly enough to push through it, but I think I learned my limits from the experience and I'm not wrong that the amount I care about the girls I've saved is definitely insurmountable, impermeable, and unconditional. I don't know if it's because I feel responsible for them or just because I'm extremely thankful they'd live for me or credit me with saving their lives. But it's a feeling that completely precludes me ever being horrible enough towards them to warrant a contact restraint. Besides, if I ever were so horrible towards them, I'd argue that invalidates all the promises I made to them in order to stop them from dying, and therefore in the long run I did not save them but in fact if they're still alive then something else must have saved them from my betrayal.
As for the girl who tried but failed to get a contact restraint against me, I've never threatened to harm her. I care about her so much that the "angriest" I can ever feel towards her is maybe enough to make me curse or yell a bit but also apologize sincerely for doing so if it hurt her feelings. I don't think the law tends to give contact restraints just because a completely non-threatening non-aggressive ex can't stop texting you once in a while because he's severely depressed about the fact that you hate him. Maybe I'm wrong on that, in which case it invalidates my above paragraph about my feelings for girls I save precluding me doing anything that warrants a contact restraint, because I might indeed be evil enough to text them once in a while begging them to talk to me, so if that's a contact-restraint-warranting action then I guess I was wrong. I'm confused as to why I never would have gotten a contact restraint over her though, if that were an offense that warrants it. I presume she and her parents would have pursued it aggressively.
