Maybe my expectations were just too high, then. Came for a movie about a team of superheros trying to stop a death-robot, left after seeing a movie about Tony Stark and his bumbling friends as they use cheap quips that defuse all the tension to defeat Ultron, the walking-talking pinnocchio-reference with a movable mouth, human-like facial expressions, and his own cheap quips!
It really was a quippy movie. I was overwhelmed with nausea when i left the theater, and i don't think it should be legal to have so many quips in one single movie.
What was worse was that they inflated the movie with stupid bullshit that serves no purpose but to tie that movie in with other Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. It's fucking disgusting.
You'd prefer people to talk in movies like they do in real life in all its banal repetitive disjointed stuttering small reference pool glory, you sick fuck?
banal repetitive disjointed stuttering small reference pool glory
I realize, given that like-calls-to-like and birds of a feather flock together, that you probably spend the bulk of your time with mouth-breathing retards, but that doesn't mean the rest of us do. No one talks like the characters in Whedon's crap, but only a handful of people talk like gibbering chimps with whom you pass your days.
Yeah, but I fucking wish they did. Do you know how it's fucking frustrating to talk to people who won't understand any reference outside of "right on your fucking nose" one? Like, understanding Hitler reference but not understanding Himmler reference. And that's majority of people, damn it.
IDK fam my expectations were pretty high and I came away satisfied. Like wew fun superhero shit interspersed with solid drama and tension. I'm about that life fam.
Then again, I unironically enjoy Whedon quips (altho they were out of place coming from ultron) so this movie was basically my playground.
You love it? I can understand people liking the movie, it was fine as blockbusters go. But loving it? What the fuck do you love about it? Please bring your tastes in line with mine or face correctional education.
Funny. Good character development. Good Maria Hill. Good Widow. Fun group dynamic. Action was solid enough. Agents of SHIELD tie-in. I actually liked Ultron even though I agree he could be better. I definitely liked his creation plotline. Vision. That's just off the top of my head.
It wasn't as good as Avengers 1 but barely anything is so I can't really hold that against it.
More like sensitive Mark Dice, "retweeting" like 10 times. I hate that guy more than any whiny feminist. BLAHBLAHBLAH I'M A CONSERVATIVW. Shut up and let the grown ups talk Mark, you idiot.

Not a coincidence. Also Mark said nothing about being a conservative, just saying Joss has a fucked up mindset
Yelling to yourself in front of a camera showcases a fucked up mindset imho fam. Don't really get the outrage over Joss this time, it was a joke, wasn't it? He's not happy his mother died for real.
IIRC, he was the guy going on about Katy Perry being involved in Satanic Illuminati rituals during the Super Bowl or something. Truly one of the top minds of our time.
tweeting at Joss like 5 times in 10 minutes desperate for attention
Pretty much exactly this. A lot of Twitter's fringiest fringe folks follow pretty much every social media celebrity they can find and then some in the hopes they can have one of their own tweets go viral by replying to someone with a lot of followers.

Yes. Because it turns out stupid comments just look like stupid comments without the context or voice inflection to suggest otherwise.

eh in my opinion its him on his lowest setting which is still really smug and yet thoughtless. Cabin in the woods is really clever yet really really stupid it's like sunset overdrive or to use a quote from yahtzee from ZP. "there is a difference between parody and reference". Yeah this is his problem its pointing something out not being clever about it. Saints row 4 is mostly how a parody is done sincerity not constantly going "hey isnt this thing thats a major plot point actually kinda funny/stupid/weird let me kill all tension and seriousness by making characters make a quip or reference everytime its even slightly avaliable and or barley connected."

Of course not, the absolute best way to mark mother's day is to publicly express gratitude that one's own mother is dead so she doesn't have to witness the reality you do not like. "I'M GLAD MY FATHER IS LONG DEAD AS WELL SO HE DOESN'T HAVE TO SEE ALL THE THINGS ON TV THAT I THINK ARE BAD!"
This guy is a horrible person, like who the fuck says that about their mother? I'm glad she wasn't here to see him talk this way about her in an attempt to appear politically righteous.
She was already disappointed. She had Joss Whedon for a son. Death was a sweet release from the embarrassment of knowing she birthed and raised that guy.

When you make quips for a living, you sometimes fall in too deep with this habit, saying shit like, I don't know, Betty Davis presumably said celebrating death of Joan Crowford "No bad talk about the dead, Crowford's dead, good" (which I doubt she really meant).
I've seen this a lot from people like him though. He bases his entire identity around virtue signaling for random minorities that he has 0 association with, even though he shows signs of being a total sociopath to and about people around him. Then he acts like he's the compassionate one.

When you make quips for a living, you sometimes fall in too deep with this habit, saying shit like, I don't know, Betty Davis presumably said celebrating death of Joan Crowford "No bad talk about the dead, Crowford's dead, good" (which I doubt she really meant).
I think it's a case like this, hope so, anyway.
