Everyone I know who lived in Houston has some story of accidentally wandering into the Chinatown and freaking out because almost all (road) signs were in Mandarin. In Texas, the second most prevalent non-English language (behind Spanish, obviously) is Vietnamese, and that's mostly because of Houston.

There are some truly great things about H-town and some truly awful things.

I was kidding about the massage parlors...they exist, but don't go to one. Chances are 110% that the girls there are victims of human trafficking, which is a big problem there.

Mexican food is excellent, plentiful, and cheap. Check out Mexico's Deli on Dairy Ashford. Danielle is the girl who (most likely) is running the register and she's really nice. Get the tacos de pollo pibil and the cream of pablano soup.

I've heard a lot of good things and a lot of bad things about the city, honestly. I'm going to visit soon so I can check it out myself. But it doesn't really seem too bad.

I think I'll be making the move. And now that it turns out apparently there's hot Asians just roaming around all over the place, all the better.

And I'm a huge fan of really good cheap Mexican food.
