The newer versions are slower and intentionally less competitive-focused. The Nintendo 64 version is pretty cool but lacks a lot of the defensive mechanics that people like about Melee. Melee sort of hit the sweetspot if that makes sense.

I'm looking into establishing a new (high-quality) regional venue for epic weekly and monthly circlejerk (mayocide and mod drama) fests/tournaments in addition to stalking SRD users and agendaposting (on separate days, of course). My goal is to attract at least 50 people to each weekly event. What's the best area in hell to achieve this?
