I mean, it's an online game where your team fights another team, and the ladder is competitive.
So naturally, when you start losing, you look for people to blame, and logically, it's never going to be you, so you start attacking your team.
League makes people toxic, it doesn't attract toxic people. I have a friend that's a normal guy that literally screeches "KILL YOURSELF" at people in ranked play.
Another one has been banned 3x for the same thing.

I was thinking of a specific game's community, so I didn't think of speedrunners. I've actually attempted to speedrun games before, but I usually get bored after 30-40 hours of attempts. I can't imagine how people can enjoy spending 1000's of hours doing it.
