Sometimes people who live in vehicles have strong opinions about food replacement.

You're not shit next to me. My genes are just light years superior to yours and I don't even need to look at you.

Top notch!

Not only is /u/phloating_man a homeless Prius tard but he shake weights all his meals!

Hey /u/KarmaKapo why are you trying to interfere with natural selection?

https://www.reddit.com/u/phloating_man has broken free of so much bullshit, like having a bed.

open source recipes

I only eat meals made from proprietary recipes.

I only eat food that's BSD licensed. Which is to say I get it from the dumpster.

You're going to be haunted by the ghost of Richard Stallman. Take the power of open source into your heart!

I do have a bed. My minivan seats go into the floor. And I put a foldable 4 inch mattress on top..

4 inches ≈ 10 cm

What do you tell the girls you bring 'home'?

If you live in a minivan chances are you're not getting very many girls in the first place

you probably go to their place, huh?

unless both live in cars

Push the cars together and call it a double bed

If it wasn't for that sub. I would have never found the reddit account for the crazy guy that lives in a van down by the river in my city. I keep meaning to post it here.

I live in a minivan. OP lives in a Prius.

here's me shaking my meal just for you.. https://gfycat.com/FarTerrificEyas

you a top, or a bottom?

Obviously not you. You already said you don't exercise...

I mean, come on dude, you have to know this lifestyle is a terrible idea. You don't exercise. You drink your meals. You live in a fucking van.

If you didn't insist on living in an overpriced city, you could probably live a normal life. Move.

Did you read my entire original comment?

I've been on a 100% powdered food diet since March 2017. It helped me lose weight and reach my body fat goal in the 10% range.  This was achieved through diet alone with no exercise. I just kept track of CICO (calories in calories out). Counting calories is extremely easy with it.

Now, it's helping me gain lean muscle as I increased the calories and started bodyweight exercises.

Doing 6 pushups looking like a holocaust victim doesn't make you fit, famalam.

Like I said, I just increased calories and started exercising recently, so I can be buff like you...

Yea man. First step is to dump the silly shakes. I'd recommend starting at 4 dozen eggs a day, and then bump it up to 5 once you've grown. You'll be as large as a barge before you know it

Thanks Gaston!

Been doing city prius-dwelling on and off for almost a year now.

You mean homeless, on and off for almost a year, right?

I've been on a 100% powdered food diet since March 2017.

/u/phloating_man I'm kinda actually interested in this. Not a 100% powdered food diet but Soylent for Breakfast/Lunch and then a regular meal for dinner. Basically because I'm not motivated to fix Breakfast in the morning and despite working from home, too busy to cook lunch.

How does it taste and how long did it take your body to get used to get used to it?

I've been on a 100% powdered food diet since March 2017

Of course you are. 🙄

All men are misogynists. It’s impossible to avoid when it has been beaten into their heads since the day that they are born. Of course there are varying levels of misogyny, but if you’re going to be in a heterosexual relationship unfortunately you’re going to have to deal with misogyny/sexism.

It’s funnier for me to assume this isn’t pasta so that’s what I’m gonna think.

u/HodoracharacterplayedbyanactualFAGGOTactor, just want to remind you that Mayweather literally walked down McFaggot, something he never did against professionally trained fighters. He usually dances around the ring.

Now don't get butt hurt now. Come to AznIdentity or EasternSunRising.

Don't fucking drag me into your incel sub. Faggot. Coward. Scum. Lowest of the low. GO KILL YOURSELF.

u/HodortheFaggot, just want to remind you that your McFaggot was stumbling half unconscious before the bell of round 10, something Pacquiao certainly didn't do against Mayweather.

It'd be a step up from the van down by the river where he lives

Friend, being a NEET and shit posting on Reddit is not working from home.

I liked soylent. I found out I was allergic enough that it wasn't worth the stomach pain, but I'm allergic to everything.

I started with powdered soylent when it was version 1.6. I did it cold turkey for 30 days straight to see if I could simply maintain my weight which it did.

It took me about 2 weeks to get used to it. Within that two weeks, I went threw junk food withdrawals. My previous diet consisted mostly of cereal, fast food, and Filipino dishes.

I do not recommend going cold turkey. I'd recommend replacing 1 meal at first. Then when you are used to it, do more meals if you want.

After the 30 days, I wasn't 100% on meal replacements, but I did use it daily.

I was 100% only after I discovered the less expensive Joylent (Plenny Shake was called Joylent before the trademark dispute).

Plenny Shake has different flavors. Banana is my favorite. However, Plenny Shake is way grainier in mouth feel than Soylent. Soylent is probably the smoothest out there.

Here's a site that compares them all.. https://www.blendrunner.com/

It took me about 2 weeks to get used to it.

AKA serious diarrhea

Let's just make this clear, if you are letting the fact that you are choosing to live in a vehicle become the defining part of your life, you are retarded. No exceptions.

I've never actually heard of anyone glorifying something so dumb before and for some reason everyone on reddit is obsessed with it. I've actually been waiting for someone to post that subreddit on here just so I can say how fucking retarded the whole concept is.

choosing to live in a vehicle

Wait, I was under the impression that these people are forced to live in cars because of financial hardship and whatnot.

Why do they choose to live in a vehicle?

It's usually either for ease of travel purposes or an attempt to save money while living in like the bay area or somewhere with super high rents. People who have to live in cars for reasons to do with actual poverty generally don't brag about it.

They don't brag because it's obviously fucking horrible

I might legitimately rather live under a bridge in a warm climate, at least then I'd have some leg room when I was sleeping

It's an increasingly popular hobby for trust fund kids. Take daddies money and live the pseudo-hippie lifestyle of no real responsibilities until you either get bored or decide that living out if a van is too much work.

So, from personal experience, people who live in trailer parks, in mobile homes, quite often express a sense of superiority to people who live in traditional dwellings. They say stuff like, 'If i don't like it, I can move anytime,' and 'my house can go where I want to go, can yours?'

I think people tend to rationalize whatever their situation is, and even though privately they will tell you all the problems with said thing, to outsiders they will extol the virtues of whatever it is they are stuck with.

'Life has never been better since I lost my leg to diabetes!'

I kinda wish there wasn’t such a stigma about it. I would kinda like to live in an RV or trailer cause I don’t need hardly any space anyway

Live in a box

I think that's very judgmental and ignorant. There are many totally valid reasons to do so and even for those who choose to make it permanent, it's a lifestyle choice. Who are you to say what is retarded or not? Maybe someone who lives/has lived in a van thinks those too close-minded to even consider it to be retarded.

For the record, I did it. I'm a PhD engineer and scientist who now works in the Valley. Though you might disagree, I generally don't think I'm retarded nor do I believe most people would come to that conclusion about me. After I finished graduate school, I decided that I wanted to travel and see the world, so I bought a van and lived out of it for half a year while traveling across the country. Then, I got a different one and traveled across South America all the way down to Ushuaia, and back.

Living in a van was absolutely a "defining part of my life" during this time because it gave me the freedom to experience the world in a way that I found to be incredibly influential to my personal growth. So rather than making such a blanket claim about vandwellers, "no exception" as you put it, perhaps consider why some people might choose to do this (as well as the type of vehicle).

Post that boyhole and all will be forgiven. Such is the law of r/Drama

Is........

Is this satire?

Or are there literally mongs this stupid out there

Yes, there are. Take a look in the mirror to find one because username checks out.

I mean, when you tell your intestines and stomach they are no longer needed for anything but the most basic diffusion things tend to get fucked up fast.

But seriously, that sub pic that tries to make the van-life look so much better than society slavery maaaaaahhhnn, I can smell the swamp ass from here

I don't know if I would consider that thread drama. I was just providing info. The insults and personal attacks were coming from one direction. ..

It was drama, trust us, we're experts

Regardless, I'm glad the discussion got crossposted. Brings the topic of meal replacements to a wider audience. Meal replacements aren't perfect, and I want to find ways to improve these products.

If he's getting the right balance of lipids, protein and sugar, as well as all of his vitamin needs, then there is no danger at all to him.

Nature doesn't give a shit where you get your nutrients. Your body won't be like 'OMG, he's drinking this shit and not eating it!'. It literally will not matter.

That being said, doing this is retarded. You live in a fucking van. How much of life's simply pleasures do you really want to give up?

Lives in a car. You can stand up in a van.

I live in a minivan. OP of the thread you linked to lives in a Prius car.

He doesn't do meal replacements. I was the one suggesting it to OP.

I can't believe the raw hatred this guy has for the future, which is drinking tasteless nutrition shakes every 6 hours

Where is it implied I have a raw hatred for the future? The meal replacement I use has different flavors.

How small do you have to be to comfortably sleep in a Prius?

I did it driving cross country. 6'0 215 lbs

It sucked baaaaaaals

215 lb ≈ 100 kg

I'm (((5'11"))) and I have to sleep at an angle in the back of my Jeep Patriot

Believe it or not you could lay straight in a Prius if you build up the area between the back seats when folded over and the front seat. But the hatch back is very short so I bumped my knees constantly.
