A lot of people talk about /r/drama getting banned, some joking some not. We (the mods) try to be cooperative with the admins and we enforce the sitewide rules as best we can (though sometimes it's hard to know what the rules really are). We're always open to talking with the admins if there is a problem though really we have very little contact with them. I wanted to share a message that we received a few days ago. It's notable because it's about the only thing the admins have said to us. This was what they said and it was about this thread. The subreddit's not going to get banned. They'll talk to us plenty before that point but it's something to keep in mind. Troll people all you want within this subreddit but it's not a platform for organizing your epic multi subreddit ruses.
Edit: also, about the whole "KYS" and inciting violence thing: the admins have made it pretty clear that they understand our subreddit is not meant to be taken seriously. I don't think anyone is getting banned for telling masterlawllz to keep himself safe. The same is true for mayocide. They know it's (mostly) satirical and they're not going to ban that type of expression. That said, there is a difference between telling a drama mod to kill themselves and telling a mentally ill lolcow with a history of suicidal ideation to eat a bottle of Tylenol. We do actually remove the worst threats, the ones that go overboard, and we sometimes ban users for it. That part isn't going to change. Most of you aren't autistic enough to encounter that but please do keep it in mind.

They didn't warn /r/zoophilia either, despite our subreddit explicitly having rules against soliciting sex with animals, posting animal pornography, and encouraging physical/mental harm towards animals.
All they had to do was tell us "Hey, you guys can have your subreddit, but you can't actually advocate having sex with animals at all as we consider that to always be harming animals." It'd be consistent with their other policies-- /r/watchpeopledie can discuss the violent murder of other humans as long as they don't celebrate it, subreddits can discuss the merits of the death penalty, subreddits can discuss the merits of torture, and so on. Most of the posts on /r/zoophilia were ethical or philosophical discussions of the subject, and it's a topic that's been discussed by mainstream philosophers such as Peter Singer.

I agree, it was the mods of /r/polyamory's fault since it was their shitty bot that locked all the threads. But you have to admit that the /r/drama bot fucked up that community completely for a couple hours there before they finally got rid of their bot. Not that they didn't have it coming.

I think most of the people here have at least a basic grasp on what's acceptable and what's not. People have been banned in the past for combing through a lolcows post history, finding their /r/suicidewatch posts and telling them to finish the job. Stuff like that.
