The sad thing about /u/tcj_phx is that he's both right and retarded.
Yeah, he has the right to get habeas corpus review despite not being a lawyer.
But he's also completely insane for trying to do it on his own. Getting money from a breach of contract is one thing, but trying to get a junkie out of the loony bin is another.
/u/tcj_phx, please just give up and let your gf get treatment. She's obviously not the best influence on you if you're having to file habeas petitions for her, and chances are good that she either wants to stay in treatment or needs it.
The first attorney I spoke to last week was suspiciously-familiar with the circumstances surrounding my case, said it was entirely appropriate for me to file what I did, and said law is practiced slightly differently in rural community's courts was a real thing.
Then he told me he couldn't help me because the treatment provider was already his client, and gave me another atty's phone number. I figure they consulted him about my habeas corpus petitions.

Conventional psychiatry is proud to use an evidence-free approach to Medicine.
But... are you listening to yourself? She got caught with heroin. This wasn't some kind of one-time behavioral problem, she had hard drugs on her. She's lucky she's not in prison.
The so-called war on drugs is actually a make-work program for organized crime & the prison-industrial complex. When drugs are available and affordable, addicts don't have to advertise their drug of choice to their friends just to pay for their own fix. Ref: Chasing the Scream.
My girlfriend was planning to quit because I did not approve of her self-medication strategies, and that was more important to her than maintaining her addiction to the street pharmacy's products. Then the professionals imprisoned her in their hospitals, and thought she needed prescription drugs that make patients suicidal, or cause impulse control problems.
Okay, but the government has a rational basis for outlawing heroin and that's all they need to put your girlfriend in prison for it. If you go down this path, do you really want to see what's at the end of it? Even if you somehow succeed in bailing her out of the mental hospital, she could easily be prosecuted for possession.
I went from knowing nothing about habeas corpus to having a granted writ of habeas corpus & order against a private hospital in under 40 hours. I guess I was an idiot for thinking that the hospital staff would care about the court's order, when their attorney had already decided to blow off the hearing.

The thing is, you're way over your head. Sure, you learned a lot, but you're going to be no match for the hospital's legal team actually made up of lawyers, don't you think?

That's what the original hospital's lawyers thought.
Someone said this in my original submission:
To be fair to the OP, playing a game of lawyerfight without a lawyer is a crippling handicap even with all the judicial goodwill in the world unless the case is incredibly trivial,
I'm now consulting with lawyers to help with "judicial hostility".
I guess it's just how the world works, but it just seems a bit unfair that you have to pay to try and get justice.
I'm not sure how your arguments would stand up in a court of law because I don't really know anything about this stuff, but it seems like you've done quite a bit already, and I really do admire your determination. I wish you the best of luck and hope your girlfriend is able to get proper treatment and feel better.

Yo u/tcj_phx your girl likes to party my friend. What's all the consternation about? Show her a good time, lay some pipe, and let it be.

I'm getting the feeling that his "girlfriend" doesn't exist, and it's actually him that's been sent to a mental asylum.

They should just give OP the "Quality Contributor" flair, then he'll officially be a lawyer.

Switzerland gives heroin to their most-hopeless heroin addicts because it's cheaper and more effective than teaching them to be helpless in jail.
