Justice league is slowly dying before our eyes and it is glorious.

Recent reports have shown it is going to open lower than fucking R-rated Logan. An original movie like Dunkirk which involves a British retreat with no main characters has the possibility of outgrossing a movie with some of America's greatest Icons.

You will be witnessing birth of new memes that may reach Baneposting status. Don't miss out on it.

The movie wasn’t terrible but the editing was all over the place and I didn’t really like any of the characters other than Aquaman and Flash, except I’m pretty sure they made Flash literally autistic cause he had a monologue about he’s unable to understand people and he even watches Rick and Morty

For some reason Ben Affleck felt really off, he didn’t feel like Batman at all to me.

I think the mixed reactions are fair cause I have nothing horrible to say about it (nothing as idiotic as Jesse Eisenberg’s Luthor or the piss jar) but there were no great scenes either like the No Man’s Land sequence in Wonder Woman

I really like Batfleck. I think he coupd have been the best Batman if his tenure didnt coincide with the single dumbest forced movie universe today.

Basically this. Maybe his self directed Batman film will end up being good ;_;

Last I heard that might be getting canned and Afleck is doing everything he can to get out.

I imagine he realizes DC has fucked their CU into a corner already with Snyder and he knows he cant make the movie he wanted to, and hes seen their producers royally fuck with every single DC universe move make them suck even worse and knows theyll do the same to his.

Such a shame :c

Probably could tell how much the movie was going to blow and mailed it in.

Whedon having to clean up after Snyder really didn't help it one bit.

MCJ is complete shit now. It's just a proxy war for capeshit retards.

It was a great sub when Interstellar was out

capeshite

RLM is the only good movie sub

I love how this film is making it impossible for /r/movies users to deny that their beloved superhero movement has peaked. Ask any normal person and they'll tell you they got tired of the genre around or before the avengers.

But movie users have been holding onto the success of deadpool and wonderwoman to beg that this dead horse of a shitty genre needs even more beatings. No, it does not.

Many /r/movies users must be having a mental break now that their beloved superhero moment has peaked.

Ask any normal person and they'll tell you that it started feeling old around or before the avengers.

What ar eyou talking about? Capeshit still rakes in billions of dollars, its the only genre thats guaranteed to succed, DC just sucks at it

IMAGINE GIVING A SHIT ABOUT SUPER HUMAN MOVIES

They're like the westerns of this generation... except not nearly as socially influential.

You used to really bother me but I’m starting to love you.

omg! Me too <3 (well not the bothering part tho)

Not sure why anyone is surprised they gave the reigns to zach Snyder of course it's all over the place

Do people actually this is Snyder’s fault when Joss literally took an hour off the movie and replaced most of the scenes with quips?

I think they realized it was even worse and tried to save it.

All of Snyder's films have been good or at the most decent. BvS wasn't even that bad, the manchildren epidemic needs to be stopped.

Is the hour he took off just the "ten minutes but filmed in super slow motion" that pads out most of Snyder's movies?

No other director utilizes stop-motion better than Snyder though. That you cannot deny.

Rumors are that Wheddon tool an axe on the movie in the editing room.

The rumor was Snyder's cut was unwatchable though

Why do they keep giving Zach Snyder these movies? They always get VERY mixed reviews. And sooner or later people are going to realize that his movies are all the same and stop going to see them

new memes that may reach Baneposting status

I doubt it. Baneposting literally caused someone to crash a plane with no survivors irl.

Story time?

About a year ago a plane crashed in an area of France called le Bains or something like that and the plane had 4U in it's name.

More info here

Also they hid information predicting the Sandy Hook shooting in that film.

Baneposting is a national treasure and probably one of the few 4chan memes that will never get old.

I thought this was an advertisement.

What, really? It's not the first DCU movie to get a disappointing reception - don't see how this is supposed to be this epic event you seem to expect.

Dunkirk was fucking dope nigga.

Favourite movie of the year for me. One of the few blockbusters that isn't capeshit, sequel or an adaptation.

Hopefully superhero movies will die sooner than later.

Infinity Wars should be an exhausting clusterfuck, so maybe then people will find something better to do.

Lolno. I thought the same thing nearly a decade ago and here we are. Just ignore them and move on.

Hopefully, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Too many man children with too much money tbh. They throw money at anything that has childhood nostalgia attached to it. Truly the brainless consumers that corporations dream of.

Other than Nolan's batman trilogy, I haven't actually watched any recent superhero movies. Is it worth getting into them? If so, where should I start, they're kind of linked are they?

Some are and some aren't. Not all of them are worth it but a few of them are

So kinda like Nolan's batman trilogy?

Deadpool, Logan, The Winter Soldier, actually good movies in my opinion. I also like Guardians of the Galaxy 1 & 2 because I want to suck Chris Pratt's cock.

I've only seen Phase 1 Marvel so far - other than the kind of clunky Hulk movie (with Ed Norton)m they're all recommendable.

I don't know - depends on what you're looking for I suppose. The Iron Man movies are very sarcastic and irreverent, almost a satire on the genre; the others are much more straightforward movies, but not very superhero-ey - Captain America is mostly a vintage romantic WW2 type movie, and Thor is mostly "epic fantasy".

Avengers 1 has some fun combining these different tones and characters - Iron Man kinda of keeps calling attention to that, sometimes bordering on 4th wall breaking.

So, that's the sort of stuff you're gonna get with that series, if that's your thing - not seen any of the others, so no idea.

Thank you! I love a good movie hate circlejerk.

Movies make me want to kys.
