Expect incoming shit. No matter how it turns out with audience reception there will be plenty of shill accusations, spoiler drama, shit-fits, flops and general sperging.
A New Hope is the classic. Then there's Empire and Jedi. I guess Return of the Jedi had plenty of flaws, but it was still an part of the series (unlike the prequels, or tbph the sequels).
What bugs me about the disneyfication of it is that it used to be a big deal when a Star Wars movie came out. Everyone got super hyped, speculation ran rampant, it was a whole production. But now, just like Marvel, they’re gonna pulp it out until it’s a soulless action franchise no one gives a shit about.
Luke dies. Kylo kills Snoke and becomes the new leader of the First Order. Leia still lives by the end of the film but the way it happens it's like it came out of the Batman vs. Superman movie. We learn nothing about Rey's parents in the entire film.
i'll be honest. i've read every spoiler i can. It doesn't make sense. No way in hell any of what i read is true.
Although i thought the same thing with the force awakens, but that was because it was a somehow shittier version of a new hope. and it didn't seem like J J Abrams would fuck up the ways he did, it didn't connect with a goddamn thing said in all the pre-release stuff.
With this it just sounds like such shit, like this director heard people didn't like rehashes and holy shit did he go in the opposite direction. I honestly can't name a single blockbuster movie that ever that is this way out in left field. It really shouldn't even be a star wars film.
Thinking that Hammil is anything less than ecstatic about the revival of a franchise to bring him stacks of cash and a return to relevance is idiotic... As if he cares what they do to his space wizard character, lol
If you haven't noticed how happy Hammill has been with his return to relevance and media exposure since Star Wars came back you're blind, he lost a lot of weight and looks years younger now. The extra cash doesn't hurt either but he is clearly very happy about all the attention.

What happened?

Early reports from non shills saying the movie is garbage, or will at least piss off a few people.

Surprise surprise. Rey kills Luke, right?

You're right, I was just being a smart ass. I'd say the original trilogy are the only good ones.

But the director didn't do any of the writing. He doesn't decide what happens in the plot or with the characters.
1 kane4life4ever 2017-12-13
but isn't that all star wars movies? Like WTF are you expecting? It's star wars.
1 fucknazimodzzz 2017-12-13
Pretty much all of the unbiased reviewers are saying shit like it's "interesting" and it "provides a humanistic perspective"
Which basically means it's hot garbage
1 autistitron 2017-12-13
With any luck it will be a repeat of Ghostbusters 2016.

1 fucknazimodzzz 2017-12-13
You know some people care about more than money.
Either way Luke Skywalker is his legacy. It's what he will be remember for when he passes on. He's probably wouldn't be too happy if they ruined it.
1 newprofile15 2017-12-13
I shouldn't have even mentioned the money but he clearly is enjoying the attention immensely.
1 MisterHundred 2017-12-13
lol, retard. george lucas already 'ruined it'
