What about secondary sex characteristics? Trans women also seem to have very defined jaws, a more noticeable brow ridge, an Adams apple, and in general just more man like features. Make up can only do so much, unless you were a skinny twink raised on soy before your transition, I'm going to notice that at one point you were a man. All those qualities aren't going to exclude you from being my friend, but they are the reasons I won't to bang one out with you. Yes a good deal of trans women do have evidence of masculine features from before transition, but not all do, and there are many that pass extremely well without any surgeries or anything. It comes down to so many factors.
Anyway, I'm not here really arguing that guys need to date trans women, who anyone dates and for what reasons are always completely up to them. I'm just trying to explain that a guy who does want to date a trans woman isn't gay for wanting to, and that mindset is toxic. Wouldn't everyone be much happier if you were never criticized by your peers for liking the things that you like, or connecting with someone you find a genuine connection with?
Much of this reply was just in general to this thread, but I do want to say that I'm glad that you are fine with being friends with someone who is trans. We are just people, and sadly often times we lose many people from our lives, just because we're trying to be happy with ourselves.
