The highly successful and charitable users of r/movies get upset that Marky Mark negotiated a wage for his work instead of doing it for free like his female co-star(sort by controversial or check the replies of top comments)

Avoid parenthetical insults—they just diminish your authority. Throughout the post, you're best points seem to be lost in a sea of self-aggrandizement and scattershot thinking

Is this from the Milo (((editor?)))

Who the fuck is Michelle Williams and why does r/Movies care so much about her?

She’s Heath Ledger’s widow and she also starred in Drive.

"Starred" is a strong word for what she did in Drive imo, though it does explain reddit having such a hard-on for her.

Most of r/movies probably didn't even bother to check her name after watching Drive as well.

But right now to them She is a "4 time Oscar nominee" while Mark is a talentless hack who got paid far too much.

Tbf, he is.

As I an actor I think he is decent. As for his pay, I don't know if his pay was too much or normal.

He's okay. I couldn't care less how much he's paid.

If everybody started thinking like you then how can we have drama like this?

True. If more people were like me, the world would be a better place.

How can Marky Mark be a talentless hack when he was both a rapper and prevented a plane crashing on 9/11, you Vietnam fucking shit.

Please eat Mentos with Pepsi.

Marky Mark is an american treasure.

I find his movies funny. Pain and Gain was pretty good.

Have you seen shaymlin's masterpieces, the happening?

Is he the good vibrations dude, who pounded his chest in that one movie?

If you're referring to Mark then the "what? No" meme of his is more popular.

She wasn’t in Drive, that was Carey Mulligan

Same person

they look pretty different

She got cucked by Jake Gyllenhall in Brokeback Mountain

She played Marilyn Monroe in a movie one time and did a really good job. These two roles are the only things I think I've seen her in

I still think of her from Dawson's Creek, even though she's done a lot of stuff since then.

Does she ever get naked?

I think there was partial nudity

Yeah. The partial stuff when she was younger is way better than fuller stuff as she got older, because she's one of those chicks who handled getting old by starving herself to death to look teenage-skinny...even though she was a voluptuous type back then.

Cute blonde who played a really hot slut on Dawson's Creek back when you were in diapers.

I fucking hate poor people who bitch about what other people have. Its called the free market retard.

The solution to this is gassing poor "people"

Negotiation vs Reeeeing on twitter

🤔🤔🤔

Men are better negotiators so negotiation is obviously just an extension of the white cismale heteropatriarchy.

Reeing on Twitter is a better long term investment if they can rile up enough mayos to make it work.

Inside every woman's head is a man telling her she can't do things.

How do you think that makes them feel, """men"""?

I don't know, but it would make feel like a retard who kept blaming my own insecurities on other people.

My wife and I were discussing this last night. I could name multiple movies that Marky Mark was the star of. I couldn't name a single movie this chick was the star of or even in (though I am sure she has been in some movies).

Are people so stupid they don't understand that a prime time actor and a no-name will get vastly different paychecks regardless of gender? Its not like Scar-Jo was in this movie and made nothing while Mark Whalberg made millions.

It really sounds like this whole production was a clusterfuck. If the Spacey allegations hadn't come out then it would have just been another movie, but then they had to reshoot a lot of it with a less popular actor (even though Christopher Plummer did a way better job than Kevin would have). Michelle Williams seemed altruistic and was willing to help fix the situation but Wahlberg saw an opportunity to make a shitload of cash. It sounds like he basically held this movie hostage which is funny considering it's about a hostage situation.

I would be willing to bet the studio considered just not releasing it at all.

It's easy. Marky Mark is a famehound who wants to be rich and famous. Williams is one of those ditsy types who just want to make art.

It's not like hot blondes have a hard time getting roles. This chick just retardedly spent her hottest years doing endless artsy roles.

God damn, fifteen million? The movie was already going over budget as it was with the reshoots and it was guaranteed to lose money since they lost Spacey. He really forced their hand here. I'm not sure if I find that slimy or respectable.

EDIT: I missed the decimal nvm

A bit of both.

On the one hand, good for him for seeing his opportunity. On the other, this is a role literally no actor would take just for the money, so why bother?

Then again, anyone who works for someone richer than they are for free, is a fucking moron.
