The Spy Who Loved Me is the perfect Bond film imo because it perfectly blends the serious nature of the Craig era with the camp and absurdity of the classic era.
Can you blame him? He's nearly 50 years old and is still playing a very physically taxing character. I wish they would recast him with someone more excited to play the part. He's a great actor outside of Bond so he would have more freedom to explore other parts. I'm surprised he didn't get nominated for Logan Lucky.
I still really like him in the part. This will surely be his last movie but I almost want him to do more because i feel like it’s been kind of a waste to tie all his movies together. The beauty of the previous films were they were all fun stand alone adventures. I want to see Craig do a couple of those
I actually enjoyed Spectre more than most other people seemed to but I think the ties to the previous films were definitely the weakest parts of it. Making Blofeld supposedly somehow be responsible for every problem Bond has ever faced was seriously dumb. I also loved that when they marketed it, they unironically tried to convince people that a Bond film named Spectre featuring German actor Christoph Waltz as the main villain was not about Blofeld.
I’m pretty sure Craig would have quit already but he’s made them so much money that I think they’ve offered him something like 50 million to keep playing the character, which is insane.

Why is James Bond a white male?

No where in the books does it say Bond is white or a male. We need a black female Bond

/r/Drama is a sub dedicated to the art of theatre, not the drivel of the box office.

James bond is way too serious nowadays. I miss Roger Moore's raised eyebrow and awful innuendo.

I’m more excited for Daniel Craig’s salty exhausted attitude after production has wrapped. He’s gotten more and more cranky with each movie.

It’s a fun flick with some good set pieces but it’s too damn long. That could be said about most of the bond films, really

Imagine thinking Bond should be a white male

I am excited. Especially since Dany Boyle might direct.
