I'd prefer that we have less illegal immigration but trump makes it politically impossible for democrats to negotiate with him on this issue when his appeal is predicated on demonizing latino immigrants, and his major policy suggestion - the wall, lmao - is a financial boondoggle that will do almost nothing to solve the problem.
Trump has done more to damage the ability of the US to negotiate fair trade deals than any president in history. He removed us from the TPP which would have been quite possibly one of the most US-favored trade deals ever had it passed, indirectly increasing chinese hegemony in southeast asia and oceania. He's shown that the US cannot be trusted to honor our trade agreements, no matter whether they are financially beneficial for us or not. He's shown that he will make completely irrational snap judgments like placing a tariff on steel which actually hurt the economy more than it helped due to the reliance on foreign steel of our domestic manufacturing which cost us jobs in all areas of steel-based manufacturing. He seems to want all kinds of low-value manufacturing to be done in the us (because that's what you mouthbreathers want, the USA making cheap chinese plastic shit) which completely ignores the concept of 'comparative advantage.'
You literally eat up everything the media says and can't think critically or take a big picture perspective. You're emotionally stunted by Trump and won't be able to think critically.

Underneath the pompous arrogance, gilded over the top white trash opulence and "I caught the biggest fish out there" level bullshitting, there seems to be a cold calculating center to him that has a finely developed set of instincts that let him sense a lot of anger in non-"elite" America. He then proceeded to troll the media (that treated him both as a joke and tried to ruin him) and politicians into doing his campaign work for him by saying outrageous things that got peoples attention. He defeated two political dynasties and did it with a set of issues with very little monetary/beltway backing. Now as President, he's advancing his agenda successfully (who cared about trade or immigration or defense cooperation agreements 5 years ago?), economic optimism is at 20 year highs, and he's done it with 90% of the press and elements of the intelligence community breathing down his neck the whole time trying to destroy him and his allies.
I don't see how people can think he's an idiot except that they get so riled up by some book (who let all these authors into his White House anyway?) or tweet that they can't get their heads right.

Starting a massive trade war is not "improving your trade deals". Ripping up deals is not improving them, and pulling out of the TPP was crazy given how much the US stood to benefit (but thanks from the rest of the world for that one I guess).
Stirring up racism and xenophobia is not improving your migration system. The economic benefit the US gets from cheap mexican labour is huge, but Trump would have you believe they're all rapists or worse.
And coming from Australia, one of the US's supposed closest allies, Trump is absolutely destroying our confidence in the US as a military partner. He's failed utterly against Russia, North Korea, China, and Iran. Every other nation in the world is quite aware he's a moron, and we can only assume the whole country is a pack of morons for electing him.

The President is the head of the executive branch per the constitution. We elected him, he controls the branch, not Mueller, not Sessions or Rosenstein. Unaccountable bureaucracy isn't "checks and balances".
Who elected Mueller? He's just some bureaucrat scaring up charges over unrelated events to try and get someone to flip on Trump. When it was his turn to push for war in Iraq, he did his part. He covered up the BCCI scandal and sandbagged the anthrax investigation too, he's not some people's ally, he is the swamp. He's nothing more than an excuse for unelected bureaucrats to weigh down a fairly elected President. Again, this is how you'll get autocrats. But you won't see this, so I don't know why I bother.

First of all, the attorney general is in charge of the special prosecutor, and the president is in charge of the attorney general. How can you possibly be arguing that it would be a good thing to make it effectively impossible for the justice system to investigate anyone, even the president? You should at least admit that this is how it works since it's easily verifiable fact.

He's a climate change denier. He demonizes minorities. He's literally a sexual abuser. He's rubber stamping a republican congress that is hard-right corporatist/socially conservative.
he's a warmonger who didn't see the value of restraint when it comes to nuclear weapons and wanted to assassinate bashar al-assad, which would have provoked the exact conflict that trumpists said hillary would have caused with her foreign policy positions. Bombings have increased since he gained office. He's provoked iran into possibly restarting their nuclear weapons program because he's too dim to understand that the deal was better than nothing, and unilaterally withdrawing from it without new terms is an unqualified failure that destabilizes the middle east. His negotiation with north korea turned out to be a meaningless publicity stunt which pompeo himself admitted was a failure.
Immigration was already down before trump's election, and immigrants are a net positive for the american economy regardless of their legal status. I'd prefer that we have less illegal immigration but trump makes it politically impossible for democrats to negotiate with him on this issue when his appeal is predicated on demonizing latino immigrants, and his major policy suggestion - the wall, lmao - is a financial boondoggle that will do almost nothing to solve the problem.
Trump has done more to damage the ability of the US to negotiate fair trade deals than any president in history. He removed us from the TPP which would have been quite possibly one of the most US-favored trade deals ever had it passed, indirectly increasing chinese hegemony in southeast asia and oceania. He's shown that the US cannot be trusted to honor our trade agreements, no matter whether they are financially beneficial for us or not. He's shown that he will make completely irrational snap judgments like placing a tariff on steel which actually hurt the economy more than it helped due to the reliance on foreign steel of our domestic manufacturing which cost us jobs in all areas of steel-based manufacturing. He seems to want all kinds of low-value manufacturing to be done in the us (because that's what you mouthbreathers want, the USA making cheap chinese plastic shit) which completely ignores the concept of 'comparative advantage.'
