What's the deal with suicide?

Suicide is legal in most countries, yet it's treated like all the other "-cides" by health providers, law enforcement, and suicide helplines. People who kill themselves are doing no harm to others.

What in the actual fuck? This is such a delusional way of thinking. What about the emotional distress and anguish it causes friends and family? The months, even years, of mourning those people go through?

Absolutely deluded, and kind of sickening really. What a terrible place.
