The reason why it comes off as them praising Bush's admin is because 1) they see Trump as worse with regards to the aspects that are most important to them (social and identity politics) and 2) Trump's administration is much more relevant (because it is current, whereas its been 10 years since bush was in power, and in that time you tend to forget about some of the less memorable stupid shit presidents do).
