Stan Lee was a hack who stole credit from real creators like Steve Ditko and Jack Kirby. The guy text bubbles into otherwise finished comics and he's treated like some kind of visionary. Instead of owning up to that with the occasional "But let me mention the real talent behind these characters" he self-promoted non-stop. At one point he claimed he created Captain America just to see if he could get away with it.
