R/politics gets bussy blasted that CNN hired a conservative. Comments calling out the "clear conservative bias" at CNN now exist.

Hello.

You are receiving this message because you posted in defense of Donald Trump. I no longer provide individual responses on this matter. It has been my experience that Trump supporters are universally incapable of accepting verifiable truths about him and, by extension, themselves, thus rendering discussion pointless and, therefore, a waste of time.

I wish you all the best in your ongoing battle with reality.

Yours respectfully, a logical person.

/r/politics in a nutshell

I'm like 90% sure this is #resister twitter copypasta. Is it still considered copypasta if the people posting it unironically believe in it?

Is it still considered copypasta if the people posting it unironically believe in it?

It doesn't make it not funny

Absolutely, that makes it even funnier.

now

Yeah seriously this used to be the norm when it came to talking about CNN. Does no one remember how much flak they and every other news company got during the late Bush era for their initial positivr coverage of Iraq?

CNN has neocons on the air constantly always promoting war, what else is new?

Shoutout to Ana "Trump is racist but I love Warmonger John McCain" Navarro

Implying that’s a bad thing

Drone strikes are the only thing that make democrats happy

take onion article

add pointless subtitle text

Who are these people who do this shit to anything funny on the internet? It's like a given that whenever you're trying to find some meme the first instance you find is "transformed" like this.

pretty sure the website does it to boost itself in google's search results

It's that fucking me.me website. Their name combined with the slight modification of the image means they get a huge boost in google ranking for image searches for memes. It's annoying.

That site rehosts Reddit posts and places the original title as text underneath the pic.

Turns out that the little floofer has found a better master who takes him for more runs in the park.

Luckily we are no longer bombing people now that those pesky Democrats are out of office.

The only time the Dems broke rank and supported Trump was to drop something like 20,000 bombs on Syria and it cost hundreds of millions and resulted in no positive results.

The dems were pissed off because Trump told Syria via Russia where he was striking which meant everyone got evacuated apart from two people. He did so little damage that they were flying plans out of there the next day.

Thats just actually not true, where the fuck do you get this stuff?

/r/politics i'm assuming

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2017_Shayrat_missile_strike

Oh wait you're right. It was 7 people that they killed at a cost of $59 million dollars.

7 soldiers killed (per Syrian Government) 9 soldiers killed (per SOHR) 10 aircraft destroyed, and 5 damged (independent photographic evidence and Syrian government) 5 SAM batteries destroyed or damaged, and 10 ammo storages destroyed (independent satellite imagery)

Seems a bit more than just 7 soldiers

Each of those missiles costs $1.4 million. That means for $82.6 million, the USA managed to destroy 10 sheds and do so much damage that the airbase was out of commission for several hours. If you fly on a budget airline you'll often be delayed for longer than that. It only cost almost $100 million to do less damage than a discounted plane ticket.

Do you know how much SAM batteries cost? 100 million per unit, at least for S-300 which is what I assume the Syrians use. 10 planes were destroyed which could range from anywhere coupe million to 100s of millions each.

That's because they hate brown people.

Sanders and Hillary should run with promise of recreational drone strikes to energize their voterbase.

CNN has neocons on the air constantly

wtf i love CNN now

^ fuck yeah damn right

That's SENATOR John "I hate the gooks" McCain to you

Nothing wrong with that

only a woke cuck would forgive his torturers. Based chad McCain. I'd expect no different from our Muslims in Gitmo.

Going to war with pragmatism is different than threatening to go to war because of something you read on the internet while taking a long and unhealthy poop.

i think we need a new immigration policy

open borders for neocons?

She hot tho...

She low-key looks like Anita Sarkeesian.

😍😍😍

Drama-mama

yummy yummy. /u/vidiotgamer post some sexy anitapics. Or was it /u/starship_litterbox_c ?

I bet she never has to come up for air!

Meh

Reminds me of Brittany Spears

Looks like her wearing a wig after her '07 incident.

Yeah that is what is giving me a boner rn

Reminds me of this porn star, can't remember her name... But the one that looks like her lol.

AT&T NewsCNN has always had the dumbest people on both sides, what else is new? They hired Rick Santorum like two years ago

r/politics are dumbasses. In other news rain is wet and daddy is still delusional

We’re here to enjoy dramatic happenings, not point out who’s stupid. We’re not circlebroke

Imagine watching CNN unironically.

Imagine watching any media source unironically.

what about breitbart!?

Broke

Woke

Bespoke

Baroque <-

If it ain’t Baroque,

Imagine reading bloggers that haven't traveled outside their local county vs journalists that report from active warzones

Imagine not getting all your news from r/drama

This but for real

I simply look out my window and derive the days events from cloud patterns and pure grit and I'm usually more accurate than the news.

Warren???

Embarrassingly, completely unironically.

Broke: President Donald Trump breaks ground on the border wall between Mexico. More news at 11.

Woke: Chad daddy demonstrates his massive wall to virgin Mexicanos. [Link to TMZ]

WOW at some of these comments. You all do realize CNN is probably the most centrist mainstream broadcast TV source out there, right? FoxNews is WAY right and MSNBC leans more left than them. The fact that they hired someone with this much political bias out there publicly is clearly going to backfire on their left leaning viewers. Most on the right already watch Fox and hate CNN. This is just a dumb move as they are not stealing any Fox News viewers at this point.

Bbc, whose very name is coded mayocide and signifies the cucking of the white male.

Im sorry but you are mistaken.

Mayocide is partisan. We need to kill half of all races, with half of the victims being women.

Broke: what you said

Woke: omnicide

Perfectly balanced, as it should be.

A) you quoted it wrong you fucking retard
B) don't quote capeshit here

FUCK YOU, HOW DARE YOU ASSUME MY LEVEL OF RETARDEDNESS.

capeshit

Already assumed retarded

Ayyyyy mayo lmao

Ayyyyy mayo lmao

Thats where your wrong kiddo 😎

Honestly surprised so many people fell for this pasta 😂

Yikes

Imagine needing this much COPE

lmao her husband is literally named "Chad" - guess r/politics isnt the only thing with a blasted bussy.

So what?

The virgin /r/politics user vs the Chad Chad.

If one thing is true, it is that CNN's correspondents do not have their will set upon the divine, they have not received God's grace and turned from the ever changeable.

of course cnn has a conservative bias, did you see how hard they stanned mommy in 2016?

These people are literal lunatics holy shit. I brought up the stuff with Don Lemon being a dumbass for asking the black hole question a bunch of times and got massively downvoted. But now that CNN dared hiring a conservatard they suddenly care about this?

r/politics is mostly paid shills with a smattering of retards who make r/drama posters seem Genius in comparison.

Ehh tons of /r/politics people have hated CNN for ages. They're basically the 24 hour cable news entity that pioneered the demise of journalism. So much screaming. Everything, ever is "BREAKING NEWS!" Every show has the grid with the 7000 screaming talking heads. And so much contrived fake debate with so little substance... "oh there's a flu outbreak, better invite some anti-vaxers to keep it balanced!".

Actually now that I describe it, why doesn't /r/drama love CNN? Jesus fuck it's dramatic (but headache-causing).

What do you mean by the demise of journalism though? The Arkansas Democrat Gazette and the New Hampshire Union Leader (and other papers with similar titles) betray their partisan roots. "Objective journalism" was only a thing for like 30 years because, for whatever reason, FDR chadded the US into a few decades of consensus everybody trusted Walter Cronkite's mustache.

.....you actually make a good point

It's like people forgot about the press' pre-WWII reputation. William Randolph Hearst literally took credit for the Spanish-American war because of his paper's rabble-rousing.

We also think of "journalist" as a job for elites in the wake of Woodward and Bernstein. Being a reporter used to be a lot more blue-collar.

It's not because of Woodward and Bernstein, it's that the profession has increasingly coalesced around 3-4 urban centers instead of being mostly made up of local reporters.

The average journalist used to be roaming the streets and following leads, now it's mostly trust fund kids in Williamsburg skimming through twitter.

The elite J-school thing started with boomers.

Huh, I thought it would've been the creation of Fox News that

I'm pretty left but all politics aside this is why I hate CNN. It's just panels of people yelling over each other. I learn nothing and I'm dumber for having watched. Thanks, CNN.

/r/drama hates CNN because they're better at shitposting.

because maddow cried on the air that one time

The only thing I associate Maddow with is getting buttblasted over cartoon frogs on air a couple years ago lmao

My favorite was her doing an hour's worth of connecting red lines on corkboard with the 2 least informative pages of Trump's taxes.

So this brings the count of “conservative” staff members at CNN to 2, correct?

On contract, I think they have 3. Then you have S.E. Cupp who is an anti Trump repub.

Infowars

is this a joke that i am missing

Yes you fucking mongoloid.

No, he's breaking the conditioning.

Infowars is possibly on the same level as Reuters right now.

and what level is that ?

Very high

Neo cons and never trump republicans are way over represented in media. Why don't CNN hire full on maga guys and some social democrats.

Not even gonna lie thats a pretty epic idea. Maybe true centrism and objectivity will finnaly be achieved

Why don't CNN hire full on maga guys and some social democrats.

They should go further and get the full spectrum on there: Tankies, Anarcho-Syndicalists, Pedophiles oops I mean Libertarians, Monarchists, the other Monarchists who support the rival contender for the royal throne, Hawaiian Separatists, Hippies, Latin American Dictators, African Child Warlords, the lot of 'em.

I'd watch Counterpoint, but replace the old hosts with a Carlist and a Bonnepartist.

Or a single host like Talleyrand.

Unironically a show I'd watch.

Imagine the dramadebates.

What about Dutch supremacists? Osceola County needs representation too.

That'd be a lot more interesting than the tired shit they've got now. They want eyeballs? Broaden the frame

Because the only demographic that watches cable news (or pays for cable) is aging neocons and neolibs. CNN wants to poach the Fox News audience, but they can't go full MAGA or they'll scare off some of their existing audience (and they can't out-crazy Fox News anyways).

Bullshit political party lines aside-- CNN has realized that neocons and non-populist/leftist Dems have more in common than they have different, if they can just get over a few social issues and party identities. All these people are broadly neoliberals. Reagan and Thatcher were the OG neolibs, and the Clintons carried on the tradition.

All of them are united by belief in globalism, economic liberalism, privatization, financial deregulation, free trade, reduced govt spending, etc. But party identity makes people think that these groups are very different. Nah.

If the US had a parliamentary govt, you can imagine maybe 3 or 4 political parties emerging. The neocons and neolibs as economically liberal hawkish globalists (either in 1 party or 2 parties with a coalition). The populist right wing. The populist left wing. With the right and left uniting over certain labor / economic protectionism issues... strong borders, tariffs, etc.

But yeah... TL;DR the whole thing makes sense. CNN wants to court as many neolib Republicans as they can without frightening off the neolib Dems. Old neolibs pay for cable. Millenials and leftists don't, and would want to raise CNN's taxes. Fox has the Trump-Republican market cornered.

Posts like this is why I do Heroine.

The populist right wing. The populist left wing. With the right and left uniting over certain labor / economic protectionism issues... strong borders, tariffs, etc.

Yeah the 1970s labor movement populist lefties that were also strong border advocates like ceasar chavez etc are gone from the left. Its mostly the long term invasion plan leftists that want to redo the treaty were mexico lost half their land. They want california speaking spanish exclusively in 10 years. Texas and then arizona next. They want no borders. Not sure the populist left will align with any party on anything.

If the US had a parliamentary govt, you can imagine maybe 3 or 4 political parties emerging. The neocons and neolibs as economically liberal hawkish globalists (either in 1 party or 2 parties with a coalition).

Parliamentary system now!!!

Neo cons and never trump republicans are way over represented in media.

Yeah and we're gonna fuckin drone strike everyone else toll were over represented in the general population too

So they are bringing in the right side of the kosher sandwich

She cute.

Looks like MSNBC just got a new viewer.

EDIT: WOW at some of these comments. You all do realize CNN is probably the most centrist mainstream source out there, right?

What a sad state our journalism exists in.

EDIT: WOW at some of these comments. You all do realize CNN is probably the most centrist mainstream source out there, right?

I refuse to believe this isn't one of us trolling.

How does that bot work again? Remind me! 16 months MSNBC is the new CNN and Sanders got cucked a second time in the primaries

Them burgers ain't nothing if not entertaining

CBC/BBC/PBS is all that gets played in my household.

Imagine thinking the GOP is conservative. SMH, that’s some white people stupid.

She's only run two presidential campaigns, clearly unqualified.

Romney 2012

Fiorina 2016

Two losing Republican campaigns. It seems like the media is a big fan of Republicans who lose national elections. (McCain, Bush Sr.)

that's because they have served their purpose

So what's her job, really? Here's a (nonpartisan) Variety article about it: https://variety.com/2019/tv/news/cnn-sarah-isgur-flores-tv-news-1203143372/

Isgur’s duties have little to do with overseeing or running CNN’s political coverage, according to a person familiar with the matter. Her task will be to help put together coverage across the outlet’s TV and digital operations. She is one of several editors at that level who report to David Chalian, a vice president and political director at CNN.

Yeah, everybody panic

Would bang

cnn caters to conservative 'both sides' entitlement far too much conservative both sides

Really made me think 🤔

Man lots of misogyny in that thread. Smdh.

Imagine thinking CNN and America in general is t extremely conservative

That one bitch has a graph of what news sources we should trust and huffpo is in the "highly reputable" area...

Where? I couldn't find that

Thanks. Isn't HuffPo listed as "unfair interpretations of the news"?

I swear thats not the same graph I saw earlier, for sure it didnt have defined boxes in it.

Also, that y-axis makes no sense... why is The Economist being docked for having complex analysis?

The whole piece is shit.

r/foundthemobileuser

According to her LinkedIn, Isgur started worked as the DOJ’s public affairs director in February 2017.

Looks like Vox could do with another copyeditor

They're talking about switching over to MSNBC now, as if that network has any more credibility.

I loving the new cast for this upcoming next season.
