I wouldn’t argue this. When the Democratic Party has its largest coalition it was during the era of the economic populism. Moving to the left on trade is a good thing, though trumps execution is absolute dogshit. His stance on TPP was good too.
Most candidates for president so far have endorsed his legislation though. As far as I know the only candidate that didn’t endorse Medicare for all was Klobuchar which is unsurprising as she is so far the worst in the field of candidates.
This lie that he gets nothing done is just lazy. He literally just passed his end war in Yemen Bill, like recently. That was overwhelmingly the best thing done in the senate under Trump so far. Booker also killed Bernie’s lowering drug prices bill too, he even had bipartisan support but Booker and other Dems shot themselves in the foot with that disgustingly awful vote. This metric is also I’d argue useless when determining the president too. No one knows what Obama did in the senate, nor did anyone care. That’s not a good argument for or against anyone tbh.

She locked up thousands of POC for minor drug possession and bubbles the private prisons which literally use unpaid slave labor in California. She also laughed about legalizing marijuana when her republican opponent was further to the left on her with that. She didn’t prosecute Steven Mnuchin when he shouldve been, and he was one of her largest donors. She pursued prosecuting someone who the court and her own DOJ proved was innocent, and she didn’t give that up. She’s bad.
