i wasn't doxxed, but i don't enjoy reddit as much as i used to. it feels like an addiction or a distraction at the moment and it's surprisingly sad how often i am noticing myself think "oh you should take a picture of this and share it" or "that's a funny story you should post this", i don't seem to enjoy doing things for the sake of it any more and rather it's me trying to get reactions out of people, whether that's disgust or laughter. last month i challenged myself to take a week off reddit because i noticed i was on it too much, i lasted 2 days and then started coming back on now, so recently i just thought fuck it i need to be able to go more than 2 days without going on here, that's not healthy. i was going to write something more in depth but i really just need to stop coming on here for a while, i said a month to myself so i'll go for that. the more time i spend on reddit, the less time i spend doing other things and it's not worth it for me. i see people spending so much time on social media and said i never wanted to be like them but i have become like that. so ill probably make a blog/video/something in a few weeks just to talk about it properly because i think a lot of people will be in similar positions and won't be aware of it or willing to try and change.

there's a lot on my mind at the moment so i just need to step back and think about what i should do now.

Radical centerism will grow stronger everyday. Once we take over mainstream politics everyone who posts on /r/drama will have a comfy position in the New centerist world goverment and unlimited access to the finest bussy.

As an r/drama poster who is in the minority of preferring the delicacy and elusive scent of gussy, I look forward to cashing in my oppression chips.

They're definitely not woke on the CQ

Yes, on the Cherokee Question.

Something I would also like to add on to what you're saying because there's already a few comments here that are confusing terminology.

When someone is being called a "centrist," they're almost never being antagonized for being "politically moderate." When someone is calling you a(n enlightened) centrist, they're antagonizing you for what they believe is political apathy.

Look at all the fluff wording to just say we dont care

Was there any shady undertaking, any form of foulness, especially in cultural life, in which at least one Radical Centrist did not participate? On putting the probing knife carefully to that kind of abscess one immediately discovered, like a maggot in a putrescent body, a little Radical Centrist who was often blinded by the sudden light.

Was there any excrement, any shamelessness in any form, above all in cultural life, in which at least one Radical Centrist would not have been involved? As soon as one even carefully cut into such an abscess, one found, like maggots in a decaying body, often blinded by the sudden light, a Radical Centrist.

The more I argued with them, the better I came to know their dialectic. First they counted on the stupidity of their adversary, and then, when there was no other way out, they themselves simply played stupid. If all this didn't help, they pretended not to understand, or, if challenged, they changed the subject in a hurry, quoted platitudes which, if you accepted them, they immediately related to entirely different matters, and then, if again attacked, gave ground and pretended not to know exactly what you were talking about.

Whenever you tried to attack one of these apostles, your hand closed on a jelly-like slime which divided up and poured through your fingers, but in the next moment collected again. But if you really struck one of these fellows so telling a blow that, observed by the audience, he couldn't help but agree, and if you believed that this had taken you at least one step forward, your amazement was great the next day. The Radical Centrist had not the slightest recollection of the day before, he rattled off his same old nonsense as though nothing at all had happened, and, if indignantly challenged, affected amazement; he couldn't remember a thing, except that he had proved the correctness of his assertions the previous day.

I don't know what you said, because I've seen another human naked.

Never believe that centrists are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The centrists have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.

  • Jean Paul-Sartre

Finally you gave smug shits who laugh at both sides of an argument who they themselves have no actual value to put in. See the entire episode log of South Park as an example.

First of all, how dare you

I feel complimented not insulted by that quote if I'm honest.

Is South Park neutrality making a comeback?

What's so bad about this:

First, a "centrist" often seems to actively avoid committing to any one side of an argument or issue, making it hard to really pin down what they actually believe. It's frustrating to deal with when there doesn't seem to be any solid ground, or that people tend to change or adjust their positions for whatever's politically expedient for them at the time. Not taking a stand on an issue means they don't run the risk of upsetting or alienating any groups.

Anything that makes it hard to stick you in a neatly assigned box is bad and you're bad.

No big surprise, people generally don't like cowards.

Gotcha. Not having cookie cutter responses for every political topic is cowardly

What’s cowardly about hating rock n roll and country?

I got a stand for you right here

If you have an open mind for differing political opinions instead of an unchanging concrete stance on everything you're a coward

You are such a brave soul sharing the opinions of and being supported by millions of people in your country. Bless your heart for being such a rock in the face of constant approval.

When someone is being called a "centrist," they're almost never being antagonized for being "politically moderate." When someone is calling you a(n enlightened) centrist, they're antagonizing you for what they believe is political apathy.

Ah, the worst of all sins in life...apathy

If not me, who? We? Couldn’t be! Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar???

Centrism will grow exponentially through the use of meta and exclusionary tactics in enlightened places such as r/drama. Soon we will be so powerful that no decisions will ever be made and we will be slaves to jeff bezos, as it should be

I liked the one OOTL thread asking what zhcyiD9 meant and why the comments on my posts were always so vile, that was pretty funny

Literally implying that was anyone other than you jerking yourself off.

🤣🤣🤣

Then you have fence sitters who refuse go take a side... when it comes to shit like vaccinations or terrible world events like the Holocaust

The "if you're a centrist you must not care about the Holocaust" strawman has to be the most retarded argument ever made in human history and yet it's always the first thing they bring up. I'm always amazed at how little creativity partisans have. I guess when you're in an echo chamber there's no reason to ever do more than just parrot what everyone else is saying.

I've never heard centrists denounced by the right while of course far leftists attack them as rabidly as any other dissenter to their religion

The right as a whole perhaps doesn't denounce centrists much, but far rightoids sure do.

If you don't understand every side of an issue, you lack education. You can choose a side based on your personal desires or base moral values, but one choice isn't more valid than another unless you subscribe to an objective morality which is indistinguishable from a religious belief.

And, of course, if you're going to go so far as to make a moral choice to base it upon anything but the promise of eternal life at the right hand of the father makes you a brainlet.

Tl/dr: centrist are like people that think Dumbledoor and Voldemort are the same. Reee

Wandshit 🤮🤮
