She's an "amazing assassin" because the only qualifications are that she doesn't get caught, and yet we know that the Faceless Men have a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes that she apparently never learned - poison, shape shifting, etc.
And they just let her go too...because she's clearly not a threat to their secrecy.
Really they should have made all of season 6 into a real time feed of her training methods so that dorks wouldn't get mad that a character whose entire story line is that she wants to be good at killing people somehow got good at killing people.

Because the writers believe that the way to make an exciting show is to have everything go really poorly for no reason right before it goes really well for no reason.

I also think it's revealing that either (a) GRRM doesn't actually have a plan for how to end this shit, or (b) GRRM does have a plan, it's this, and it's shit.
Either way it seems like fans are finally coming to terms with the fact that the books will never be completed and this is the best they're gonna get for their prestige swordshit.
Tbh I'm pretty confident in GRRM because the people who are pandered to in television/movies aren't the people who are going to pick up a book to begin with, and the worst of the readers don't read anything that isn't young adult (Harry Potter, Hunger Games, etc.) because it's too complicated.
Not that GRRM is flawless, but appreciating his work requires a functional brain. He writes from multiple perspectives and does so excellently; the chapter from Ser Barristan was excellent. Cersei's chapters are great as well because it shows just how incompetent she is while believing she's a mastermind (seriously, she thinks she's manipulating guests at a dinner party or something and nothing is going on). Sam...well, he has a fat pink mast because even incels would take his lunch money due to his low self-esteem.
If GRRM lives long enough to finish the series, it will be great because it will make sense. Not any of this weirdo shit going on with the show.
