The first couple hours were brilliant, the way that discovering the rules of the game is part of the game. But then, just like in Sunless Sea, you run into the part where he decides he's gonna waste 20+ hours of your life repeating the same thing over and over before you get to see the victory screen. Sorry, but even I have better things to do with my time, like playing games by all the indie developers who respect me as a player.
I'm not surprised he'd turn out to be an asshole. This is the guy who told his players to go fuck themselves when they wanted faster ships in Sunless Sea. No doubt this lack of empathy extends to women too.
