I want a show that has fat people cooking really fatty soulfood in some kind of competition while Gordon Ramsey screams himself purple. Just really degrading and dehumanizing insults, completely uncensored. God I'd pay a monthly subscription just for that.

I never watched it but I heard they would kinda torture people. Like they would work them out until they puked which is why so many of them got fat again after it ended. You aren't doing them any favors if you make them associate health and fitness with misery. If anything that will make them more inclined to never try ever again.

There was a very interesting study done on the contestants, though, that demonstrated their metabolisms were burning way fewer calories than they should have been after the show. Nobody actually knows why, but there is (for once) some actual evidence backing up the idea that an extreme crash diet can "damage" someone's metabolism.

Well sure, that's just because the internet makes it easier. If you get a bunch of people online to start using a word a certain way for a month, then contact the dictionaries, they add the definition. It takes effort, but it can be done.

Being more susceptible doesn't make it a disease either, the cure is not doing it. You could argue thrill seeking is a disease in that case. Addiction could pretty much cover every lifestyle problem there is. A bum who plays video games all day is just addicted for example. It's just an excuse for being weak willed, that it has a biological component just makes them genetically weak.
