Colbert hurt the most. I hated The Daily Show and never watch political commentators but The Colbert Report was genuinely hilarious regardless of your actual opinions. Then he completely gave up his unique identity to do a shitty late-night talk show. Maybe he gets paid more now but I was in his shoes, I would much rather spend my time doing a show that is actually funny even if it wasn't as lucrative.

The Colbert Show did great ratings-wise, so it's not so much that the guy sold out as he was sold out from the start.
