Freddy was always so unappreciative of his mother even though I know the thousands of dollars spent on all of his equipment didn't come out of his paychecks. I mean here it is, the poor woman was a single mother trying to support her only child's dreams of being in video production and in return all he did was abuse her and use his equipment to be a beta orbiter for the girl next door.

Compare this to the Chad Gibby: Didn't endlessly pine after girls that have little to no interest in him, was totally confident in himself and his body, and is far more likely end up as president one day.

Then there is the Thad Josh Nichols. What an arc that guy had. He began the series as an obese guy with a severe perspiration problem. He then saw his brother out there absolutely crushing pussy like no other. Did he become a bitter incel in response? No, he began taking value in his health and physical fitness. He lost weight, worked hard at his job and earned a promotion, then started dating the hot genius girl he was once deathly afraid of while also simultaneously maintaining his grades unlike Drake. He ascended to a level far beyond his brother and reached one that we should all strive to be at.

Just because a parent buys you something expensive doesnt mean that they are a good parent. His mom was completely overbearing and controlling. There's more to a relationship than gifts, in any circumstance. It was nice of her to give Freddy all of that stuff, but she also did absolutely insane stuff too, like make him sign a contract saying he would shampoo twice EVERY time he showered, then FREAKED and stormed into Carly's apartment when he forgot to sign it once, and do I need to even get into the fact that she microchipped him? She was literally tracking his every movement. She's been a helicopter mom from hell since day 1, from the moment she kept him in her womb an extra 2 months just to "make sure he was done". He was a teenage boy and she was completely smothering him, in my opinion, I think he was TOO nice to her and that the gifts were quite likely (from my own personal experience) a way to further manipulate him into doing what she wanted and keeping him under her thumb. It's like when my own parents so graciously gifted me a car at 16, but then put a GPS tracking device in it so they could monitor where I was at all times at 20. I couldn't even argue about it, legally it was THEIR car. It was the same with everything I owned. If they bought it, it was theirs to do with as they pleased. Its why I bought my own phone at 18, so they couldn't go through my stuff anymore. Until you have a helicopter parent, it probably seems like Freddy is being a total jerk to his mom, I agree. But those of us who had a mom like her understand COMPLETELY.
