I’m not sure that’s true. There was a study trying measure levels of racism in the US and, shocker, the more diverse an area was the higher the level of racism. Turns out that when you have live around minorities and put up with their shit, you tend to not like them.
The problem is cultural diversity. People don't know what to expect from each other, and expect different things, and so they start getting pissy with each other because they can't see eye-to-eye, and there is a tension and anxiety.
If minorities assimilate to the cultural hegemony, tensions decrease and everyone can get along. This isn't fucking rocket science.
