This is gonna make me seem like a really judgmental asshole but one of the new coaches in my gym is a really overweight girl and it bothers me that they hired her to lead some of the classes
She seems like a nice, helpful person, but I feel like it's the job of a gym to set an example for people.
People (myself included) buy things to project an image towards others and towards ourselves. When I order a Martini, a small part of me thinks I look a little bit like James Bond. Advertising your product with a bunch of "regular people", never mind the landwhales they inevitably use, defeats that purpose entirely.
I mean I legit kind of wanna buy their shit less after seeing that shit. Like I’m 99% certain size 20 women and XXL men are not doing yoga or running 😂
There has to be a mathematical formula which calculates the allowed tightness of a garment and allowed skin to be bare, relative to the BMI of an individual. Encode it into law, and make the world a happier place.

'Representation in catalog models' is literally the least important thing in the whole wide world.

They need more representation in the gym

Yea ideally a coach should double as a role model, but if she's good at what she does and can help others lose weight then more power to her.

If she's just an exercise coach then I'd try to be openminded but if she's giving me diet advice then I don't think I could trust her.

I’m pretty sure 99% of people who wear leggings just think they’re a substitute for pants and don’t do yoga or run.

Hate to break it to you but leggings are not the only item lulu sells.

how come representation always means a 30 year old cow and not a cute chubby boomer man
4 Septimus_Faggotface 2020-12-06
when 30 year old cows see a catalogue without fat women they complain
when boomer men see a catalogue without fat women they add it to the collection of sears catalogues and old playboys that they used to jack off to

If your intersectionality doesn't include Masterlawlz-bodied people, then it is bullshit!

Hey now I have broad shoulders and carry a lot of water and only eat six cheeseburgers per day

Because these “people” live in denial, they still don’t understand the true power of bussy

This is an advertisement that is a good example of how to do this properly.

I prefer Gillette's take on that: https://twitter.com/GilletteVenus/status/1113565570354409473

we need sensible weight-based restrictions for the wearing of yoga pants

Gold. I was chastised recently for agreeing with someone about a black woman being beautiful and that her features were quite European even.
For some reason, people didn't care too much for that, and I was rated controversial with an even number of up and downvotes!

I still can't get used to this one
