I really don't get the long-term calculations here by some of these Republican elected Trumpies.
Like, they clearly knew they were never going to overturn the election because they couldn't prove fraud, yet all they did was spam about how they had this damning evidence, any day now it would be revealed.
Like what did they think would happen when reality set in and the people they lied to, the people that elected them, turned on them?
I mean then you have to consider the erosion of any moderate support for the GOP.
Getting primaried doesn't matter if you struggle to win general elections.
The GOP has already collapsed in the suburbs for the most part and are losing ground in states they considered completely safe in 2016.
I don't even think objecting was good politics for them at this point because Trump voters are so detached from reality the only person they answer to is Donald Trump.
And because the GOP failed to rig the outcome for him, he's going to just attack them constantly.
The moderate GOP are for the most part cucks who fall in line 9 times out of ten. The fact is the trumper faction of the GOP are kingmakers and are growing within the party at the expense of everyone else. Unless Joe and company absolutely fuck up the next 2-4 years (which is entirely possible) then I don’t expect to see another republican presidency for a few decades.
