Apparently, there's a random encounter in Red Dead Redemption 2 where an NPC rapes Arthur Morgan/John Marston then dumps their body in the swamp and it has no effect on the story or characters in any way

It's so fucking weird that they casually put this in the game lol. Like it would be one thing if the character was raped and it was part of the main story as some kind of tragic occurrence that deeply affects them but instead it was literally like Dave Chappelle's "Caught me slippin!" bit.
You can even encounter Bill at camp and he's basically like "Yo Arthur I was talking to some guy down at the bayou and he said you got a nice asshole"
I really don't know what they were thinking tbh. I wonder if it was supposed to be an actual story mission and got cut for time or something. Imagine how much outrage there would have been if this had happened in a Tomb Raider game or The Last Of Us lol, I honestly can't even imagine.

You can go back and kill him, if that counts for anything. There are a ton of weird encounters in RDR2, like the incest couple that feeds their parents to you before drugging and robbing you.
