Use please only when you're asking for permission or forgiveness

šŸ™„šŸ™„šŸ™„

The whole things reads like some sort of fetish erotica.

Fifty shades of gray for tech nerds

"Kindly do the needful." vs "Please get your shit done."

master

Use with caution. Never use in conjunction withĀ slave. Where possible, replaceĀ masterĀ with a specific term that is accurate for the context, such asĀ primary,Ā main,Ā original,Ā parent,Ā initiator,Ā driver,Ā controller,Ā manager,Ā mixer,Ā aggregator,Ā publisher,Ā leader, orĀ active.

Initiatorlawlz walking on thin ice.

For the noun whitelist, consider using a replacement such as allowlist, trustlist, or safelist.

( Ķ”Ā° ĶœŹ– Ķ”Ā°)

more like InitiatorNausea

Maybe Google needs more Indians.

How the fuck you gonna use plug for male adapter when you need to know if the adapter needs to be male or female? Stupid gender studies level of r slurred.

Thereā€™s something kind of awesome about the sum total of gender studies just resulting in the erasure of gender itself. Like it turned out to be such a pointless endeavor that they decided it was gender that was worthless not themselves.

Lmao you should publish

Presumably the female end would be called the receptacle.

Front hole adapter and feminine penis adapter.

Get that bussy adapter.

Ah, that actually makes perfect sense, replace the terminology with top and bottom adapters!

But what if they're a power bottom?

Most wall socket bottoms provide power in this terminology. However stuff that feeds off power supplies usually has power tops. Yo this is actually good terminology, I'll be using it!

Or connector

DITMA

Hmmmm curious that chubby, fat, and hamburgers got [redacted], right my fellow Amerilards?

edit: HAHAHA they got ā€˜scaleā€™ too

I donā€™t want to live here any more. This list sounds like it was written by the viral tistic guy at the dsa circus who couldnā€™t wait to be offended by gendered language. I fully hope a slave with a FAT male adapter quickly long presses these ninjas in their sexy r-slurred tarballs.

I consider myself a libtard but each and every day I'm seeing the light of the MDEfugees crying wolf... well.. the wolf is here now..

FUCK!

When do we jump ship then?

No place is left, this is the digital extremely online internet users retirement home

chubby

Don't use. Instead, use a word that clearly explains what you mean, such as unused or overextended.

fat

Don't use. Instead, use a precise modifier that conveys the appropriate meaning. For example, use high-capacity network connection instead of fat connection or full-featured client instead of fat client. Instead of using fat in a negative sense, such as trim the fat, refer in a more concrete manner to the removal of unused items.

lmao

go to arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggProgramming for more nerdy sneed

Lol it got removed. Fortunately you commented in the thread so you can tell us all about it

Huh, I'm able to still view it even in Incognito or Private mode (aka not logged into this shitposting redacted account)

Guess it got jannied still. This is the post now in reddit without me logged in, but following my bread crumbs XD

monkey, monkey test
Don't use monkey to refer to people. When referring to tests, refer to the specific function, for example, automated, random tests.

This sub's automated, random users are going to love this.

gypsy
Don't use. To refer to the people, use Romani, Roma, or Traveller, as appropriate for the specific group you're referring to. In place of metaphorical uses of the term, use more precise phrases.

Had a guy on reddit totally insisting 'gypsy' is a slur, in spite of the fact that that's literally what they fucking call themselves.

IIRC if you call them Roma they get more mad than being called Gypsy

Could be talking out of my ass though. Like 90% of posts on AITA or relationshipCuckVice

The large majority of gypsy travellers in the UK are Irish gypsies, so it wouldn't really make any sense to call them Roma. I think there probably are some Roma gypsies in the big cities, but I don't think they are part of the traveller community. Actually, since I found out some arsehole Tory has a hate-boner for them, I started having a new-found affinity for gypsies.

mom test

Don't use mom test, grandmother test, grandma test, or girlfriend test. Instead, use terms like beginner user test or novice user test.

monkey, monkey test

Don't use monkey to refer to people. When referring to tests, refer to the specific function, for example, automated, random tests.

Anyone who REEEEs about "blacklist" is a race obsessed wierdo.

Idk, it originated in post-Cromwell En*land šŸ¤¢

blackhole (verb), blackholed (adjective) Don't use. Instead, use a more descriptive term or phrase, such as dropped without notification.

Check out that notification-less drop in the sky

That's why old school hackers never washed and publicly consumed their toe jam, it kept the oversocialized away from the profession.

male-adapter

Don't use. Instead, use a genderless word like plug.

man hours, manhours, man-hours

Avoid using gendered terms. Instead use terms like person hours.

man-in-the-middle (MITM)

Avoid using gendered terms. Instead use terms like on-path attacker, person-in-the-middle (PITM).

managed instance group (MIG)

Okay to abbreviate to MIG on subsequent mention. See also instance group.

manmade, man made

Avoid using gendered terms. Instead use a word like artificial, manufactured, or synthetic.

manned Avoid using gendered terms. Instead use terms like staffed or crewed.

manpower, man power, man-power

Avoid using gendered terms. Instead use terms like staff or workforce.

mig

Please for the love of god don't tell me its because m is close to n

You can't say denigrate either

And you absolutely can't snigger.

Russian airplanes are now a big no no

it's because managed starts with "man"

I wonder how they read documentation of CLI then...

man curl

https://www.gnu.org/prep/standards/html_node/Man-Pages.html

****Trigger warning****

That oneā€™s really weird. It says you can use MIG ā€œon subsequent mentionā€ after using the full phrase, meaning itā€™s only acceptable after youā€™ve clarified that the M doesnā€™t stand for ā€œman.ā€ I guess google has people REEEEEEEEEing about every acronym with an M in it.

Itā€™s to avoid confusion between managed instance groups and the Mikoyan-Gurevich design bureau

manufactured

I'm so triggered right now. That's personufactured, PLEASE.

Apparely human hours, human-in-the-middle, humanmade are too gendered.

human

Don't use. Avoid using gendered terms. Instead use terms like huperson and hucow.

what's more masculine than 'plug'?

Why did you a drop a set of parentheses

The styleguide only allows double sets.

Triple are racist.

Read šŸ‘ a šŸ‘ book šŸ‘ bigot šŸ‘.

But how will I know the intended demographic, then?

Can't even use blackhole

Oops April 1st was 20 days ago :(

This is hilariously woke.

Sorry I am still going to say butt male-adapter.
