While they are more amicable towards eachother right now they haven’t exactly been friends ever since the Sino-Soviet Split when Khrushchev did the whole de-Stalinization thing.

This I am not familiar with. Khrushchev is often praised in the west. Do you know how they view him over there?

I don’t know how he is viewed in China today but back during the split he was viewed as a traitor to the revolution because red fascists Marxist-Leninists view their ideology as religious dogma and any deviation to that is heresy Revisionism. If I had to guess I’d say that China probably views him a bit more favorably after Deng Xioping took over the CCP and did his reforms since after that china was in no place to complain about revisionism.
