Yep, pretty much, it's a new skin that in previous years (obvs for different characters) you could get for $35 and also get after the event, this time around its event locked and the price is jacked up to $150 (you do also get a lot of other minor shit but that is really not worth more than $50 depending on what you play).

It was still a fun casual gane to mess around in that very few took seriously, and could always return to it even a decade after release. Then they slowly destroyed it by introducing matchmaking, "competitive" queues, and lastly let it get overrun by bots.
