I'm not usually into deck building but I got addicted to Slay the Spire some time ago. I have played with all 4 characters and even tho the game is really good, I cannot help but notice how problematic most characters are.

First character Ironcald - why did they choose a stereotypical m/le character who's all brawn. Would it kill them to choose a woman or other marginalized group?

Third character Defect - every time I play this character, I'm triggered by the amount of balls he has. The best deck for him is to get capacitator and focus cards. This implies the more balls you have and the more focus you put on balls, the more powerful you are. I can't even with this!

Fourth character Watcher - Finally, a female character, I cried when I unlocked her. However, my enthusiasm was crushed when I learned her main mechanism. She was given two basic emotions. Wrath and Calm. Is it just me or does this remind anyone of how m/n gaslight women when we are on our periods? "Oh, you are just lashing out because it's the time of the month." This character is the epitome of m/nwritingwomen.

If we want more equal representation of female fanbase to deckbuilding games, we should and can do better!
