I was 16 (she black) when I got a job as a telemarketer org my mother worked for. I had no idea we were scamming folx. I legitimately thought the money we were trying to raise was going to help the police and firefighters help children. When people were rude, it left me in tears. I was able to quit when I was 17, but still didn't realize until 18 YEARS later the depth of the scam there. Apparently it was a country wide thing.

I say that to say, you don't know the person on the other side of the phone. You don't know what desperate act has them calling you. So, hang up. Tell them to put you on their "Do not call" list (we had one). Just say, "No, thank you." And end the call. Any of these are better than being unnecessarily rude.

Yesterday a phone scammer called me from forgstan or afriqe told she doesn't speak Dutch.

I told her I don't speak French in French, she told but it's sounds that I speak French, I told her neighbor I just told you I don't speak French why are you continuing speaking to me in French are you malade ? (I'll/sick) she got confused and started angrily telling me to stop fricking with her or she is going to send gendarmerie after me. I told I don't speak French and if she doesn't stop talking to me in French I will frick her whole family and her dad twice you stupid b-word. She hanged the phone.

This is a bit niche but nobody else on the (publicly indexed non-groomercord) internet has asked about it so might as well ask the tards here. I use a pair of 2nd gen airpods (third set I've purchased, they fit my ears better than any of the other ones) and they have some kind of super annoying artificial volume limitation on windows 11. They're about 1/2 as loud as they should be at max win11 system and max application volume vs my iphone. I can get around this with amp software gain boosters but this obviously adds lots of distortion. Has anyone else encountered this or found a solution?

It's been almost a year since the crime occurred, but Britt Leroux of Windsor says she's still haunted by the selfie photo that Bubba Pollock took and posted while in the hospital room of her terminally ill father.

Pollock had clashed with Leroux — a Pride activist — on Facebook over a drag event and 2SLGBTQ+ issues.

This is a very unusual and fascinating thing. I understand that blood relationships can be difficult at times, but what, I ask, is what drives this one particular club to go out of their way to do this? Is it some kind of guilt-motivated signal? Or maybe it's supposed to…reflect their fan demographics?

Idk maybe I'm looking into this too much, but dang, these Brits really got my noggin in good use

A close relative of mine died recently.

Today I dreamed of them. They had these semi-whimsical creatures that played around with people. In a very short time these creations turned crazy and began killing everyone they could. I barely escaped them for a long time.

Then in the end I managed to escape to another relatives place where the half whimsical creatures gone mad couldn't follow me.

I believe this was a message for me from the other side. The relative admitting that they were indeed kinda crazy and almost killed me or wished to multiple times, and would have probably ended up killing me if I had not successfully escaped to the other relatives place.

I woke up feeling at peace. Like somebody having admitted their part in a deed gone wrong and taken the burden off my shoulders.

I also felt the gut urge the moment I woke up to tell another relative of mine about it who has a similar relation as mine to the crazy relative that passed away.
