I personally believed Lana should have won, but that aside I thought it was trashy that Taylor (i) physically dragged Lana on stage right after she lost and (ii) didn't acknowledge or thank Celine Dion for presenting the award. also saying that Lana is “in her prime” during your acceptance speech for the award that Lana just lost is a backhanded compliment — I felt very awkward for Lana watching this

It just goes to show how influential Kanye is that him interrupting her speech at the VMAs led to such a lucrative career.
