Good morning rDrama!

I met my girlfriend's parents over the weekend who I am stealth with. They made several comments that made me dysphoric and worried they will clock me eventually. Some of the comments where regarding my height and small frame (I'm 5'5 and a 135lb but I wore 2 inch shoe inserts), small wrists, “feminine hand movements”, they “did not like my voice.”

They said my girlfriend looked big next to me (she is 5'3 and roughly the same weight as me). They said I was short for a white man. They asked me what size clothes I wore and other questions related to my size.

They are Latinx immigrants and I am white so I know there is a cultural difference to how masculinity is shown. Their culture tends to be more strict in gender roles especially with men. I am sure this was part of the reason why they thought I was “feminine.” They even asked my girlfriend if I was bisexual.

The comments made me feel uncomfortable and now I'm feeling very dysphoric about my height and size. I know I need to go to the gym and bulk up. I feel small, dainty, and feminine. I'm over thinking my size, my hand gestures, my voice, and my overall passability.

I would appreciate words of encouragement. Additionally, please give any advice on how you: 1. Worked towards passing, 2. Are stealth towards in-laws, 3. What you know about masculinity in hard-working American culture, if anything.

As I am trying to improve my life and seeking advice from rdrama which is actually giving me good advice about my apperence, how do you talk to normies? I have a lot of anxiety talking to normies so I don't talk to them and then they end up pressuring me into s*x and I'm not interested in s*x.

Can someone help me come up with a social script to use when talking to people with a set of things to say in order like walking up to someone and saying "HI. Have a good day" and then introducing yourself and saying your name, age and birthday and then asking how they are doing today and then being like goodbye all in that order.

Is there a social script to talk to normies because that is the social script I'm going to try out and attempt to people on the bus today and in class and I want to know if there is anything that could be corrected or changed?

Objectively, FIFA's (EA FC) and COD shouldn't be counted since they are more like seasons so if you count them you can also count Fortnite since the game is also on chapter 5 (season 60) or something so the game had as much changes every year as cod and fifas. If mobilise would also be counted, with candy crush and etc even less games would be younger than 6 years.

Context: Japanese has lots of word parts that are kind of like "re" in English, where on its own, it's not a meaningful word, but you can put it together with other words and it will modify the meaning consistently ("rebuild", "reheat", and so on).

Normal people see this, nod, and move along. But weebs cream their pants because it's yet another feature of Japanese that's OMG SO QUIRKY AND MYTHICAL AND EFFICIENT AND DIFFICULT. I hate weebs.

Hey thanks for the feedback. FYI, for the leadership positions I do have the proper dates just removed it for this post. Regarding the 5 jobs, those were internships and I graduated during COVID, as you can see I work in research labs when the COVID situation would get out of hand, we'd have to leave. Thanks again

5 jobs in 5 years is too many. Drop the insignificant ones. Usually 3 quick jobs is borderline. 4+ is a death sentence on a resume.

Director of Diversity? Seriously drop that out of there. Just put “Director.” No business wants to hire that at all.
