It's an odd scenario to be in. If you are looking for a financially stable above average looking guy, similar age as you, then it's going to take a lot of luck without having very similar hobbies and not being super attractive. Edited: I have seen quite a few questions asking why I don't date/look for a relationship where I go to school/ that me leaving for school again is an issue, that my situation might be a problem for well-established men with a set lifestyle (which is one of my criteria).

To give you all a brief answer, the school I go to is in a rural area where there is very little diversity. I have tried dating men who are local there but most of them have little exposure to people outside of their culture. It's even harder when their mindsets are of a country one, whereas I'm more of a city/ suburban person.

Since I'm an undergrad, most of my classmates are 10 years younger than me, and I'm there for my study, so the thought of dating any of them is even more ludicrous. Twitter founder Jack Dorsey is no longer on the board of Bluesky, the decentralized social media platform he helped start. In two posts today, Bluesky thanked Dorsey while confirming his departure and adding that it's searching for a new board member “who shares our commitment to building a social network that puts people in control of their experience.”

The posts come a day after an X user asked Dorsey if he was still on the company's board, and Dorsey responded, without further elaboration, “no.” As TechCrunch points out, Dorsey was on a tear yesterday, unfollowing all but three accounts on X while referring to Elon Musk's platform as “freedom technology.”

Neither Bluesky nor Dorsey himself seem to have said how or why he left the board. For now, two board members remain: CEO, Jay Graeber, and Jabber / XMPP inventor Jeremie Miller. Dorsey originally backed Bluesky in 2019 as a project to develop an open-source social media standard that he wanted Twitter to move to. He later joined its board of directors when it split from Twitter in 2022.

But Dorsey hadn't seemingly been a particularly active participant at the company. In March, when The Verge's Nilay Patel asked Graeber for Decoder about his level of involvement with Bluesky, she said she gets “some feedback occasionally,” but implied he's otherwise “being Jack Dorsey on a cloud,” as Nilay put it. Months before that interview, Dorsey had closed his Bluesky account.

Bluesky did not immediately respond to The Verge's request for comment.

The devastated family of a woman eaten alive by a safari park tiger are suing zoo bosses for £250,000.

The tragic incident began when a young woman got out of a car inside the Siberian tiger enclosure to berate her partner in the driver's seat.

One of the powerful creatures quickly pounced at Badaling Wildlife Park in Beijing, China.

Her mother and a man then also got out and went to her rescue.

A young woman gets out of the front passenger seat, slams her door and stomps round to the driver's side.

The driver also opens his door as the woman appears to remonstrate with him.

But within seconds, a tiger appears from nowhere and pounces on the woman's back from behind.

She appears to hear it coming only at the last second and is unable to escape.

The animal pulls her to the ground and away from the vehicle with lightning speed.

The man gets out of the car and for a moment appears unsure whether to get back in or go after the woman.

He then disappears off camera.

A few seconds later, the older woman also gets out the car as park rangers appear in a jeep.

The man appears to motion her back into the vehicle, but she runs with him off camera as well.

The second tiger attack is not captured on camera.

The park has been closed while an investigation is underway, according to local media.

Sources told ChinaNews said the accident involved a family of four including three adults and a child.

As the vehicle travelled through the Siberian tiger garden area, there was an "altercation" between the young woman and man who was driving.

She suddenly got out of the car and went to try and open his door.

TunnelVision, as the researchers have named their attack, largely negates the entire purpose and selling point of VPNs, which is to encapsulate incoming and outgoing Internet traffic in an encrypted tunnel and to cloak the user's IP address. The researchers believe it affects all VPN applications when they're connected to a hostile network and that there are no ways to prevent such attacks except when the user's VPN runs on Linux or Android. Network firewalls can also be configured to deny inbound and outbound traffic to and from the physical interface. This remedy is problematic for two reasons: (1) a VPN user connecting to an untrusted network has no ability to control the firewall and (2) it opens the same side channel present with the Linux mitigation.

I'm writing about a concerning situation involving another moderator. They have banned me and removed all my posts in numerous subs on a different account. The reason? I refused to relinquish my top moderator position on a subreddit on this account. They're essentially holding access to dozens of other subreddits they moderate hostage in exchange for my top mod role. This has been ongoing for several months now.

Here's the backstory: I became the top moderator of said subreddit when the previous top mod asked me if I wanted to take over due to my consistent activity and my interest in the sub. However, this other mod is now claiming I "stole" the subreddit from them.

I have Groomercord screenshots showing them promising to lift the ban and reapprove my posts if I hand over the subreddit they claim is theirs. However, they were never the top moderator there, nor did she ever do that much moderating in the sub to begin with and seems like it's just yet another power grab. This abuse of power feels outrageous. It seems like evidence outside of Reddit itself (like Groomercord messages) are not considered in these situations, leaving me stuck.

To make matters worse, they falsely listed me as "not being 18+" in the ban reason, despite knowing I am of legal age. Isn't this essentially them knowingly falsely accusing me of posting underage content, which is a serious offense?

I'm at a loss for how this behaviour is allowed to continue and I'm stuck. Any recommendations on how to proceed?

A mod with privs is allowed to not like you and remove you from his subs for any reason. Heck, the mod could de-mod you simply because he notices you participating as a regular user in another unrelated sub he doesn't like. Or because you like ketchup on hot dogs.

I was banned a couple weeks ago from /r/justiceserved (a sub I don't subscribe to) because I posted a comment reply in /r/conspiracy after I noticed a legitimate news story I'd posted about elsewhere had been cross-posted to the conspiracy sub. I don't subscribe to the conspiracy sub either. So I returned the mods the favor in one of my subs they don't use.

Wait, you banned an entire mod team from some of your subs as retaliatory action because you got an automated ban in their sub? I think we should consider revisiting the ModCOC soon.
