In a set of tweets over his birthday, which happened to coincide with that of The King of Fighters series protagonist Kusanagi Kyo, The King of Fighters '94 graphics director Kodama Mitsuo talked about how fujoshi turned out to be the saving grace of SNK's fighting game series.

According to Kodama, at the time, KOF'94 was in a perilous state and in danger of being canceled, with internal reviews giving low scores. Even Kodama, who feels that his baseless confidence is his forte, was on the verge of giving up until the day of location testing in arcades, where groups of fujoshi were seen giggling and making a commotion around the arcade cabinets. The staff huddled together and felt that a miracle might just happen – giving a much-needed boost of confidence that helped the game out the door.

In a second tweet, Kodama gave thanks to all the people who played KOF'94, saying that the game was a title that he helped make while feeling that he had to push through alone on the project.

KOF isn't the only thing that was unintentionally saved by fujoshi – in another well-known instance, fujoshi helped bring attention to the katana Shokudaikiri Mitsutada, which was left out of the public eye as it was part of a damaged museum collection after a disaster occurred. Another commonly-paraded example is the original Gundam, although in this case, more than a third of the show's audience were women.

Why do these guys think the best way to spread their message is to annoy fricking competitive g*mers

GGs to the staff. They dealt with this quickly and replaced the hardware and re tested that everything was up to standards (was said in the chat of the french stream)

And above all they kept all this shit off stream and did not give them any exposure.

But then again if the goal was exposure they wouldnt target fgs 🤷 You'd have more success graffiti tagging the municipality of the city, it would have at least reached the local news

Hey to all my kappafriends, for the month of November we will be playing CvS2, pick 3 of your favorite fighters from Capcom and SNK series and fight to become the millenium champion.

The main gimmick of this game is the system known as Grooves, one of 6 styles you set when picking fighters each representing a specific game. The list goes as such :

All 3 of the Capcom Grooves are Street fighter reps with C and A representing 2 of the isms (V and A respectively) from SFA, and P representing SF3. P is significantly weaker than the others, as parrys have been drastically nerfed in this game and it has access to much fewer systems. Though if you're a parry god it works quite well.

The SNK grooves are a bit more diverse, featuring KOF 94 as S groove, 98' as N-groove and K a combo of Garou and SamSho (Just Defense with Rage meter).

All Capcom grooves use dashes whereas SNK grooves use run.

We will be playing on fightcade, which uses flycast and as such the binds aren't in the correct order in the mapping screen, though the order is quite logical

Jab Strong and Fierce are ABC respectively

Short Forward and Roundhouse are XYZ

I legit can justify buying fighting game day one anymore they releasing a 110 euro gold edition with season pass for 1 season and before they release all those characters I will be able to buy that edition for 50 euro and then they realise season pass 2 for 50 euro that will never go on sale but you'll be able to buy booth season and the game for 40 but since u already have base game it's no for u.
